What you'll do

• Oversee the commissioning process for anaerobic digestion systems, ensuring all components function as intended before project handover.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians to develop and execute commissioning plans tailored to each project.
• Conduct thorough inspections and tests on equipment and systems to verify compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the commissioning phase, providing timely solutions to maintain project timelines.
• Prepare detailed documentation of commissioning activities, including test results, operational parameters, and compliance reports.
• Train and support operational staff on the proper use and maintenance of commissioned systems, ensuring a smooth transition to operational status.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on commissioning progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in anaerobic digestion technology to continually improve commissioning practices.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations throughout the commissioning process, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
• Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for commissioning activities to enhance efficiency and consistency across projects.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and expectations, ensuring that the final product meets or exceeds their requirements.
• Collaborate with the R&D team to provide feedback on system performance and suggest improvements based on field experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in commissioning or field engineering, preferably in the renewable energy or waste management sectors.
• Strong understanding of anaerobic digestion processes and related technologies.
• Proficiency in using engineering software and tools for system analysis and design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting technical issues.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required, both domestically and internationally.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in engineering environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations related to waste management and renewable energy.
• Previous experience in training or mentoring junior engineers or technicians.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or relevant engineering certifications.
