What you'll do
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications for our waste-to-energy solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to evaluate project viability and provide recommendations to clients.
- Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Provide technical support during the project lifecycle, from initial design through to implementation and commissioning.
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during project execution, ensuring minimal disruption to timelines.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations to effectively communicate technical concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- Participate in project meetings and workshops, providing insights and updates on technical aspects of ongoing projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve our application processes and offerings.
- Contribute to the development of training materials and sessions for clients to ensure successful operation of our systems.
- Engage with cross-functional teams, including R&D and operations, to foster collaboration and innovation in product development.
- Support the marketing team by providing technical content for promotional materials and case studies showcasing our successful projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or related field).
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical role, preferably within the renewable energy or waste management sectors.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and project management methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and standards relevant to the waste-to-energy industry.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site assessments and client meetings.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience with anaerobic digestion technologies or other waste-to-energy processes.
- Knowledge of software tools for simulation and modeling in engineering applications.
- Previous experience in customer-facing roles, particularly in technical sales or support.
- Fluency in multiple languages, particularly Italian and English, is a plus.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana) to track project progress and deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and presentations.
- Understanding of renewable energy technologies and sustainability practices.
