About the role
You will develop, launch, and continuously improve assembly processes for generators, hybrid power systems, and compressors within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will own the execution of Standard Operating Procedures and ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and production targets on the shop floor. You will act as the primary technical resource for line operators, guiding them through complex assembly sequences and troubleshooting issues in real time. You will analyze process performance data to identify bottlenecks and drive corrective actions that enhance efficiency and reliability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align production capabilities with customer demand and product design changes. You will lead post-launch optimization initiatives focused on BOM simplification and SOP refinement to reduce variation and waste. You will partner with Industrial Engineering to implement layout improvements, work methods, and ergonomic enhancements that support safety and productivity. You will document all process changes and ensure that updated procedures are communicated and accessible to the entire production team.

What you'll do
Analyze current assembly operations to identify opportunities for improvement in workflow, cycle time, and quality outcomes.
Design and validate new assembly processes for generators, hybrid power systems, and compressors that meet engineering specifications and safety standards.
Develop and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions, and visual aids to ensure consistent execution on the production line.
Perform hands-on troubleshooting of assembly line issues, working directly with operators to resolve problems quickly and safely.
Monitor key performance indicators such as output, scrap rates, and downtime, and implement corrective actions to achieve target metrics.
Support the rollout of new products by preparing equipment, training personnel, and verifying that processes are ready for production.
Partner with Industrial Engineering to optimize line layouts, balance workloads, and implement efficiency improvements.
Drive continuous improvement projects using structured problem-solving methodologies to reduce waste and enhance process reliability.
Maintain strict compliance with quality management system requirements, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up to date.
Champion safety protocols and ensure that all team members follow established procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production schedules, material flow, and capacity with customer commitments.
Support the management of Bill of Materials by validating part usage, substitutions, and ensuring accuracy in production documentation.
Perform statistical analysis on process data to identify trends, validate improvements, and support data-driven decision making.
Serve as a subject matter expert for line operators, providing coaching and technical guidance to improve individual and team performance.
Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check as required by company policy and regulatory standards.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended shifts as required by the production environment.
Must be able to work a standard full-time schedule of weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM consistently.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications are strongly preferred.
Must have prior experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment focused on process execution.
Must demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
Must be proficient in using computers, enterprise software, and digital tools to document work and analyze process data.
Nice to have
Previous experience with power generation equipment, air compressors, or hybrid energy systems is highly valued.
Experience supporting ISO quality management systems and maintaining technical documentation.
Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems and statistical process control methods.

This role is fully onsite in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
The work schedule is weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
