You will serve as a steady, calming presence for our team as we navigate rapid growth in the medical education space. In this role, you will own the end-to-end administration of the employee lifecycle, ensuring every interaction reflects our values of kindness and humility. You will be the first point of contact for team members, guiding them through onboarding, daily operations, and offboarding with clarity and care. This position gives you the opportunity to directly shape the employee experience and influence how our people operations evolve over time. You will work closely with our global team to remove obstacles and provide consistent, high-touch support. Above all, you will help create an environment where every AMBOSSian feels supported, informed, and engaged in their work. Your day-to-day actions will contribute directly to the trust clinicians place in our platform and our people.
Key facts
What you'll do
Coordinate the full employee lifecycle, handling all administrative needs of team members with efficiency and empathy.
Serve as the primary responder for People Operations queries via Zendesk, delivering clear, accurate, and timely resolutions.
Prepare, review, and manage essential HR documents including contracts, amendments, side letters, certificates, and reference letters.
Partner with Finance and external providers to support accurate and punctual execution of international payroll processes.
Maintain clean, compliant, and current records in our HRIS to protect data integrity and meet regulatory obligations.
Identify friction points in existing workflows and design process improvements that help our organization scale effectively.
Explore, test, and implement AI and automation solutions that streamline repetitive People Operations tasks and reduce manual effort.
Contribute to the execution of the People Roadmap by supporting strategic initiatives and cross-functional priorities.
Work alongside People Business Partners and Talent Acquisition Managers to align people programs with company goals.
Champion best practices by documenting procedures and sharing knowledge to strengthen the overall capability of the team.
Support the implementation of new tools and systems that enhance the employee experience across the organization.
Act as a trusted point of contact for sensitive matters, handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Provide proactive guidance to team members at every stage, helping them navigate policies, benefits, and changes with confidence.
Monitor trends in people operations and compliance, recommending updates that keep our practices current and effective.
Facilitate smooth transitions during onboarding and offboarding, ensuring team members feel supported throughout their journey.
Requirements
You bring 1 to 3 years of hands-on People Operations experience, covering the full range of administrative and procedural tasks.
You have a solid understanding of German labor law and HR compliance standards, applying them accurately in your work.
You are a kind and thoughtful communicator who builds trust and fosters connection across diverse teams.
You approach your work with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset, taking ownership of both daily tasks and process initiatives.
You are proactive and tech-minded, seeking out opportunities to use AI and modern tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
You pay strong attention to detail and maintain a high level of commitment to confidentiality in all sensitive situations.
You are comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
You communicate clearly and professionally in English, ensuring messages are precise and easy to understand.

You are familiar with US employment law and HR compliance, and enjoy translating complex requirements into streamlined workflows.
You have experience supporting multiple legal entities and global People Operations, navigating the complexities of an international organization.

Practical notes
This role is based onsite in Berlin and requires availability during standard working hours.
Travel is not expected as part of this role.
