About the role
You will own the end-to-end operational performance of two new clinics in Orange, CA and Long Beach, CA, ensuring service delivery meets clinical and business targets. You will serve as the key dyad partner to the Clinic Director, aligning staffing, scheduling, and workflow across both locations to maintain continuity and quality. You will lead the implementation of Amae's integrated care model, ensuring psychiatrists, therapists, primary care providers, dietitians, and community health work seamlessly under one roof. You will drive continuous improvement in member experience, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency by analyzing data and refining processes. You will mentor, coach, and develop teams to embody the behaviors required to deliver best-in-class service and care. You will collaborate with centralized teams to translate system-wide policies into local clinic execution while preserving the high-touch culture. You will champion the adoption of new technologies and tools that support longitudinal, coordinated care for severe mental illness. You will represent the clinic in cross-functional initiatives that connect clinical, financial, and member-facing functions.

What you'll do
Coordinate clinic operations across Orange and Long Beach to ensure service delivery aligns with Amae's integrated care model and clinical standards.
Own key performance indicators including no-show rates, scheduling efficiency, and throughput while identifying opportunities to improve reliability and member access.
Partner with Clinic Directors to translate clinical strategy into operational plans that optimize staffing, room utilization, and workflow.
Lead the implementation of training, coaching, and mentoring programs for clinical and support staff to maintain high-quality care delivery.
Drive member experience by setting clear service expectations, resolving operational barriers, and fostering a culture of accountability and compassion.
Work cross-functionally with HR, Talent, Finance, Growth, Central Operations, and Technology to solve complex problems and deploy solutions at the clinic level.
Leverage data and feedback to continuously refine processes, reduce friction, and support clinicians in practicing at the top of their license.
Model and reinforce behaviors that uphold Amae's culture, ensuring sustainability and resilience in high-acuity mental health care.
Support the adoption and optimization of purpose-built tools that enable coordinated care, measurement, and longitudinal member relationships.
Represent the clinic in internal and external interactions, ensuring alignment with regulatory, payer, and partner requirements.
Requirements
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or at any time during the employment with Amae Health.
Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Orange County or Long Beach, CA, and commute reliably to one of the clinic locations as required.
Must hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, with preference for Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, or related field.
Must have at least three years of progressive operations, program, or project management experience, with at least one year in healthcare or behavioral health operations preferred.
Must demonstrate experience leading, coaching, and mentoring teams in a clinical or high-acuity service environment.
Must be comfortable managing multiple priorities and shifting deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with clinical leadership, staff, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new technologies to support clinic operations and data-driven decision-making.
Must pass a background check and drug screening as required by company policy and clinical care standards.
Nice to have
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, or related field.
Previous experience in severe mental illness, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar I disorder, or treatment-resistant depression care settings.
Experience working within integrated care models that combine psychiatry, therapy, primary care, dietitians, and community health workers.
Familiarity with health systems partnerships such as NewYork-Presbyterian, Cedars-Sinai, Mass General Brigham, Novant Health, and CommonSpirit Health.
Experience with outcomes frameworks or research initiatives that contribute to measuring and improving severe mental illness care.
Experience implementing and optimizing care coordination tools, scheduling systems, and workflow technology in a clinical environment.
Practical notes
This role is full-time with flexibility in work hours as needed to support clinic operations, including evenings and weekends as required.
Travel between the Orange and Long Beach clinic locations is expected as part of daily operations.
