The Opportunity
Altruist is entering an exciting phase of growth, and we are seeking a Sales Executive to join our quickly scaling Client Development team. In this capacity, you will be instrumental in expanding our presence and influence across a defined geographic territory. The role requires a high level of self-direction and a dedication to producing measurable results. You will play a critical part in converting interest into long-term partnerships and ensuring our sales organization meets its strategic goals.
Your Impact
Your contributions will directly influence the success of our sales organization and the quality of service our clients provide.
- Deliver results by meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual sales quotas while demonstrating Altruist's core values.
- Develop a deep understanding of the Altruist platform, including specific features such as the rebalancer and Model Marketplace, and effectively position these capabilities to advisors.
- Build trust with financial advisors through consultative selling, educating them on best practices, and guiding them through the buying process to acquire, retain, and expand business.
- Systematically capture advisor feedback to inform company priorities, including product roadmap decisions and marketing campaign strategies.
- Contribute to creating predictable, scalable growth by proactively identifying process improvements and meeting all sales service-level agreements.
- Maintain accurate and complete records in Salesforce to ensure pipeline visibility and reporting integrity.
- Act with coachability by absorbing and applying feedback from sales leadership to increase personal effectiveness and efficiency.
What You Bring
Success in this role requires a specific blend of experience, skills, and personal attributes.
- Experience: A minimum of five years as an independent financial advisor, a sales professional within B2B financial services, fintech, or SaaS, or a consultant in financial services at a top-tier management consulting firm. You must possess a track record of meeting or exceeding quotas in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong consultative sales skills.
- Education: A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field such as Business or Marketing is ideal.
- Licenses: You hold Series 7 and Series 63 securities licenses, which you have studied diligently.
- Technical Aptitude: You are technologically proficient and can rapidly master modern tech stacks, including Google Suite, Slack, Salesforce, and Zendesk.
- Ownership: You take immense pride in your work, demonstrating unparalleled ownership in every task you undertake.
- Communication: You practice superb communication, recognizing that intentional dialogue is a core strength. You listen as carefully as you express your own perspective.
Nice to Have
While not required, prior exposure to wealth management technology and advisory workflows is advantageous.
Skills & Tools
Proficiency with specific tools is necessary for this position. You will utilize Google Suite, Slack, Salesforce, and Zendesk to perform your duties effectively.
Practical Notes
