This position centers on cultivating early interest and steering prospects toward meaningful engagement within the sales motion. You will own the top-of-funnel activities that convert initial curiosity into scheduled meetings and qualified opportunities. By responding rapidly to inbound inquiries and executing precise outbound campaigns, you establish a consistent flow of pipeline. Your outreach and follow-up efforts provide direct feedback that shapes how the AI identifies and prioritizes opportunities. You will act as the primary point of contact for prospects during the discovery phase, ensuring a coherent and professional experience. Your work will directly influence the quality of the sales pipeline and the effectiveness of the broader go-to-market strategy. You will collaborate closely with solution experts to move interested parties from conversation to booked discovery sessions.
Location and work model
Position based in San Francisco, California. The arrangement is hybrid, requiring four in-office days per week at the San Francisco FiDi location. Compensation ranges from $70,000 to $80,000 annually, complemented by uncapped commission.
What you'll do
Execute the full cycle of high-volume prospecting to maintain a robust and qualified opportunity pipeline.
Orchestrate timely and tailored responses to inbound leads to capture interest and move conversations forward efficiently.
Design, launch, and iterate on targeted outbound sequences that align with the ideal customer profile and desired outcomes.
Engage high-value stakeholders and decision-makers within the defined ICP to surface needs and articulate value.
Coordinate closely with solution experts and internal teams to convert qualified interest into booked discovery sessions.
Maintain a high standard of buyer experience through clear communication, responsiveness, and professionalism at every touchpoint.
Safeguard CRM integrity by accurately logging all interactions and maintaining detailed, organized records for future reference.
Analyze performance metrics systematically to identify friction points, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement across the funnel.
Test different messaging frameworks, outreach channels, and sequences, then share actionable insights to enhance team effectiveness.
Leverage AI tools to research accounts and craft high-signal, personalized outreach at scale while continuously optimizing for reply rates.
Continuously refine your approach based on data and feedback to improve pipeline conversion and overall outreach performance.
Translate the capabilities and nuances of Hazel AI for diverse stakeholders, including operators, leaders, and technical decision-makers.
Support the commercialization motion by aligning your activities with the strategic priorities of the Altruist platform and its ecosystem.
Demonstrate ownership of the end-to-end sales development process from first contact to qualified handoff.
Contribute to the refinement of the sales playbook by documenting successful patterns and learnings from customer interactions.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment between early-stage outreach and product positioning.
Act as an expert resource on the sales process, providing guidance and best practices to internal stakeholders.
Drive forward the mission of connecting the financial ecosystem through intelligent, efficient, and scalable technology solutions.
Requirements
Bring three to five years of proven experience in business development or sales roles within a relevant industry.
Clearly articulate how artificial intelligence enhances advisor workflows and client outcomes in practical, tangible terms.
Comfortable operating with complex information and capable of adapting your approach for varied audiences and use cases.
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills across synchronous and asynchronous channels.
