What you'll do

• Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of compliance processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure effective controls are in place.
• Collaborate with various departments to provide guidance on compliance-related issues and promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
• Stay informed about changes in regulations and industry standards, ensuring that the company adapts its compliance strategies accordingly.
• Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and the board, highlighting key risks and recommendations for improvement.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and manage all interactions with them, including examinations and inquiries.
• Develop and deliver training programs for employees on compliance topics to enhance awareness and understanding of compliance obligations.
• Assist in the development of policies and procedures that promote ethical conduct and compliance with applicable laws.
• Investigate compliance incidents and potential breaches, taking appropriate action to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
• Monitor and analyze compliance metrics to assess the effectiveness of compliance programs and identify trends that may require attention.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, law, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance within the financial services industry.
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, including SEC, FINRA, and other applicable laws.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs and conducting audits.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and recommend solutions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey compliance concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all compliance matters.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM).
• Experience with compliance technology and tools to streamline compliance processes.
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks and methodologies.
• Familiarity with investment advisory services and brokerage operations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis.

• Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques to assess compliance metrics.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and tools that enhance compliance monitoring and reporting.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies.
