In this role, you will own the testing of new and existing functionality for mobile and desktop applications, ensuring that the complex logic of our security systems works flawlessly under any conditions. You will act as a quality gatekeeper, analyzing business requirements and designs to verify that the final product meets strict specifications and user expectations. Your work will directly influence the reliability of applications used by security professionals and end customers worldwide. You will collaborate closely with developers, automation engineers, product managers, business analysts, and designers to solve quality-related challenges. What you'll do
Investigate and validate the functionality of mobile and desktop applications through comprehensive manual testing.
Analyze business requirements and technical designs to identify gaps, ambiguities, and potential risks before development.
Execute regression test plans to ensure that new changes do not negatively impact existing features.
Create and maintain detailed test cases, traceability matrices, and test documentation to ensure test coverage.
Work with custom QA tools, including mock servers and emulators, to simulate various user scenarios and edge cases.
Review application logs and system outputs to diagnose issues and reproduce defects efficiently.
Collaborate with developers to report bugs with precise steps, screenshots, and environment details.
Participate in sprint planning and estimation sessions to help the team understand quality implications and testability.
Verify fixes and perform sanity checks to confirm that resolved issues meet the required standards.
Support the automation team by providing manual test results and feedback to improve automated test coverage.
Monitor the stability and performance of applications during testing cycles and report trends to the team.
Explore emerging mobile technologies and security features to enhance the testing strategy.
Assist in the preparation of release notes and quality documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Act as a representative of the end-user to ensure that the product is intuitive and meets real-world usage conditions.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and quality standards within the QA department.
Requirements
1+ year of experience in manual testing of mobile applications.
Strong theoretical knowledge of software testing principles and methodologies.
Ability to apply various test design techniques such as boundary value analysis and equivalence partitioning.
Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Experience working with business requirements and technical specifications.
Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and TestRail or similar test management tools.
Experience analyzing application logs and system outputs for troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with Xcode for iOS development and Android Studio for Android development.
Familiarity with Python or similar scripting languages and IDEs such as PyCharm.
Basic understanding of client-server architecture and networking concepts.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically about software behavior.
Capability to identify not only the presence of defects but also their root causes.
High level of self-organization and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Nice to have
Experience with REST API or gRPC testing.
Experience working with mock servers to isolate components during testing.
Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and test scripts.
Practical notes
This is a full-time position based in Lviv.
The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams across different time zones.
Travel is not required for this position.

QA department guarantees quality and stability of Ajax products on all stages - from development to mass production.
The company develops not only wireless security systems but also its own software. This is mobile applications for Android and iOS, as well as desktop applications for Windows and MacOS. They help our users independently connect and configure the system, as well as manage the status of the system. PRO versions of mobile applications and PRO Desktop, in addition to the functions of the standard application, include a professional set of functions created specifically for security and monitoring companies. The understandable application actually contains complex logic and many dependencies. It manages the entire Ajax system, so the QA team must ensure the correct and stable operation of the application under any conditions.

1+ years of experience in manual testing of mobile applications;
