You will architect low-level drivers for media pipelines on ARM-based platforms. Designing board support packages while aligning with hardware constraints forms a core part of this responsibility. You will champion code reviews to uphold stability across firmware releases. Guiding bring-up processes for new platforms from prototype to production is a central duty. Coordinating with video system teams ensures software schedules remain synchronized. Shipping updates that balance performance against power consumption targets is expected. Partnering with suppliers helps resolve interface issues and validate integration. Supporting long-term maintenance for deployed customer firmware versions is required.
Requirements
Hands-on experience with embedded Linux spanning seven years or more is mandatory. Proficiency with C++ and shell scripting is a non-negotiable requirement for this position. Deep understanding of ARM processors and video device pipelines is essential. Familiarity with U-boot, secure boot, device trees, and kernel debugging is necessary. Experience adapting SDK and BSP for board bring-up is essential.
Nice to have
Hands-on background with streaming video, codecs, and container formats is advantageous. Practical exposure to RTOS and real-time synchronization mechanisms is beneficial. Understanding of power management techniques for embedded sensors is valued.

Development processes involve deep expertise in optics, image quality, embedded systems, Wi-Fi, network technologies, and audio tuning. Key responsibilities specific to this role
You will ensure technical leadership in developing embedded solutions on ARM platforms. Managing development at the kernel level and low-level integration, including Linux kernel, drivers, and system services, is part of this duty. You will guarantee integration of SDK/BSP with application-level components implemented in C++. Aligning software architecture with hardware limitations and requirements is critical. Organizing defect root cause analysis, performance optimization, and system diagnostics falls under this position. Collaboration with Hardware, Mechanical, QA, Video System, and Production teams is necessary. Interaction with technical support for supplier solutions, such as ARM platforms, ISP, and DSP, is required. Supporting the product lifecycle, including releases, updates, and maintenance, is expected. Implementing and maintaining development standards, review processes, and quality assurance practices is mandatory. Managing technical risks for embedded solutions and defining minimization strategies is essential. Developing the team and mentoring developers represents a core part of the role.
Required technical skills and qualifications
General experience in embedded development totaling seven years or more. At least three years in a Senior or Technical Lead role within a development team is required. Professional command of C/C++, SHELL-scripting, and tools such as Git, make, cmake, and build systems is mandatory. Knowledge of ARM processor architecture is essential. Deep knowledge of Embedded Linux, including U-boot, Secure Boot, ARM Toolchains, Kernel, Device Tree, udev, RootFS, and BusyBox, is required. Experience adapting SDK/BSP and running platforms is essential. Experience working with RTOS is required. Deep knowledge of digital and analog interfaces, including I2C, SPI, UART/TTL, Ethernet, USB, HDMI, MIPI, SATA, and eMMC, plus experience with related peripherals such as sensors, actuators, controllers, and accelerometers, is necessary. Experience supporting production solutions and long-term maintenance cycles is required. Experience managing large-scale embedded projects is required.
Additional beneficial experience
Experience working with streaming video, audio, codecs, and decoding/encoding (HEVC, H.264, H.265) is a benefit. Hands-on experience with Buildroot for hardware projects on ARM platforms is advantageous. Knowledge and practical use of Python are valued. Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP) and video transmission protocols (such as RTP/RTSP) is beneficial. Knowledge or experience with libraries such as ffmpeg and OpenCV is an advantage. Understanding of low-power design characteristics for devices is valued. Professional use of measurement instruments and soldering equipment is required.
