Technical Account Manager
Job description
About the role
Technical Account Manager
Position Overview
This position serves as the primary technical liaison for designated enterprise accounts, operating from the San Diego, California base with full remote flexibility. The role is responsible for orchestrating the complete account lifecycle, from initial intake through final deployment and ongoing optimization. The manager translates intricate business requirements and technical limitations into actionable plans for both internal departments and external customers. Success in this position requires a rare blend of technical acumen, operational discipline, and consultative communication. The compensation for this strategic position is set at 120,000 USD on an annual basis.
Core Responsibilities
A central duty involves defining and managing the intake process, where initial requests are transformed into clear, build-ready specifications. This includes documenting account-specific requirements in collaboration with sales leadership and engineering specialists to ensure all commercial promises are technically feasible. The manager must design precise build configurations that respect regional legislation and the distinct capabilities of the Ajax product ecosystem.
The role owns the validation of build integrity, conducting rigorous review checkpoints to confirm data accuracy, compliance adherence, and overall readiness for market release. This involves a meticulous check of all parameters before any deployment proceeds. Logistics coordination is another critical function, requiring close partnership with shipping and distribution partners to guarantee on-time delivery and strict adherence to local regulations across all territories.
To empower broader organizational success, the manager is tasked with creating comprehensive partner playbooks. These documents enable alliances and resellers to effectively support joint solutions, fostering shared growth and market penetration. Internal enablement is also a key focus, as the manager conducts training sessions to ensure sales and support teams fully understand feature behavior and operational procedures.
Finally, the position requires continuous improvement through the analysis of feedback patterns gathered from live environments. This data-driven insight directly informs future product adjustments and user interface refinements, ensuring the offering remains aligned with market needs. The manager must also maintain robust documentation trails that track every decision, exception, and approval throughout the entire engagement lifecycle.
Essential Qualifications
Candidates must bring three to five years of proven experience in technical account management or a closely related discipline. A background in security systems or monitoring platforms is not merely preferred but essential for navigating the complexities of the Ajax product suite. Applicants must demonstrate a clear understanding of international deployment scenarios and the cross-region coordination required to manage them effectively.
A meticulous approach to work is mandatory, with the ability to process information accurately and follow detailed procedures without deviation. This ensures consistency and reliability in every engagement.
Preferred Qualifications and Tools
Experience with formal certification processes, such as ISO 14001, is highly valuable. Familiarity with the standards and compliance requirements associated with environmental management systems provides a distinct advantage in this role.
Proficiency with the specific tools of the trade is expected. This includes the Ajax Security System interface, the PRO Cloud 24 management platform, and the PCI portal used for payment and compliance interactions.
