The professional filling this position will own the complete financial narrative of the Ajax business units, translating complex operational data into clear strategic insight. You will own the end to end financial cycle, ensuring that every transaction is recorded accurately and every report tells the truth about performance. This role requires a deep partnership with operational teams, where you challenge assumptions and provide analysis that directly influences commercial decisions. You will be the guardian of financial discipline, implementing controls that protect the company while enabling growth. You will design and refine processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort across the finance function. The position demands a proactive mindset, where you anticipate future financial scenarios and prepare the organization for what is next. You will own relationships with external stakeholders, ensuring that all reporting and compliance obligations are met with precision. What you'll do
Analyze monthly financial results and generate comprehensive variance reports that highlight deviations from budget and forecast.
Lead the consolidation process across multiple business units, reconciling intercompany transactions and ensuring smooth integration of financial data.
Optimize the order to cash cycle, working closely with sales and operations to improve cash flow and reduce days sales outstanding.
Manage the full accounts payable workflow, implementing automation to streamline vendor processing and improve payment accuracy.
Oversee capital expenditure tracking, ensuring investments align with strategic priorities and deliver measurable returns.
Coordinate with tax specialists to ensure compliance with local regulations and optimize the company's tax position within the legal framework.
Develop and maintain financial models to support scenario planning and long term strategic decision making.
Own the budgeting and forecasting processes, driving collaboration across departments to build realistic and ambitious plans.
Monitor key performance indicators and provide dashboards that give leadership real time visibility into financial health.
Implement internal controls and audit preparations, mitigating risk and ensuring transparency in all financial operations.
Partner with procurement teams to analyze spend data and identify opportunities for cost savings and supplier optimization.
Support fundraising and financing activities by preparing documentation, forecasts, and analysis for stakeholders and investors.
Drive process improvement initiatives within the finance department, leveraging technology to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Ensure accurate inventory valuation and cost accounting, providing insights that influence pricing and product strategies.
Requirements
You possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field, with a strong academic background.
You have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
You demonstrate expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, and Pivot Tables.
You have a proven track record of managing general ledger accounting, including reconciliation, journal entries, and financial reporting.
You are fluent in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with international teams and stakeholders.
You have experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and are able to quickly adapt to new software platforms.
You possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and extract actionable business insights.
You exhibit a high level of integrity and discretion, handling sensitive financial information with professionalism at all times.
Nice to have
Experience in the security industry or hardware manufacturing would be a significant advantage due to the nature of the business.
Familiarity with international financial standards such as IFRS is preferred.
Knowledge of Turkish business culture and regulations is a plus given the Istanbul location.
Experience with automation tools or scripting for repetitive financial tasks is highly valued.
Practical notes
This is a full time position based in Istanbul.
The role may require occasional travel within the region for meetings or audits.
