What you'll do

• Lead and manage the quality assurance team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance and professional development.
• Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to define quality metrics and ensure alignment on quality objectives.
• Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software applications, ensuring thorough coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects throughout the software development lifecycle, working closely with development teams to facilitate timely resolution.
• Conduct regular reviews of testing processes and methodologies, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting key findings, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in quality assurance, integrating relevant innovations into the QA process.
• Mentor and train team members on QA best practices, tools, and techniques to foster a culture of quality within the organization.
• Participate in project planning and estimation activities, providing input on quality-related aspects and resource requirements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, maintaining documentation and records as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar.
• Experience with performance testing tools, such as JMeter or LoadRunner, is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, and issue tracking tools like JIRA.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements relevant to the industry.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Certification in quality assurance or testing, such as ISTQB or CSTE.
• Experience in leading QA efforts for mobile applications or web-based platforms.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of security testing and best practices.
• Experience in mentoring and developing junior QA staff.

Skills & tools

• Strong proficiency in test management tools, such as TestRail or Zephyr.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Knowledge of database testing and SQL for backend validation.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Ability to create and maintain detailed documentation for QA processes and standards.
