What you'll do

• Assist in the management and maintenance of IT systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability across all platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement innovative digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Provide technical support to staff and users, troubleshooting issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Participate in the development and execution of IT projects, contributing to planning, execution, and monitoring phases.
• Conduct regular system audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary upgrades.
• Assist in the documentation of IT processes, procedures, and user manuals to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies, recommending new tools and practices that could benefit the organization.
• Support the implementation of cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
• Facilitate training sessions for staff on new technologies and systems, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption.
• Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure that all IT services meet organizational standards and requirements.
• Monitor system performance metrics and generate reports to inform management about the status and efficiency of IT operations.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development to enhance your skills and contribute to the team's success.

Requirements

• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
• Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with database management systems, preferably MySQL or SQL Server.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Spanish; English proficiency is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and adapting to changing requirements.

Nice to have

• Certifications in relevant IT fields, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA).
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
• Previous experience in a similar role within a digital innovation or technology-focused organization.

Skills & tools

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools like Slack or Microsoft Teams.
• Experience with IT service management tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) is advantageous.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

• This position is based in Machala, El Oro, and requires the ability to work on-site.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in Ecuador and may require assistance with visa applications if applicable.
