About the role

Agoda is on the lookout for a Treasury Operations & Cash Management Specialist to join our dynamic global finance team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the daily cash operations related to both corporate and merchant funds. You will be responsible for cash positioning, forecasting, and control activities, while also playing a key role in enhancing our treasury systems and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

What you'll do

• Carry out essential treasury functions, including cash concentration and pooling activities to optimize liquidity.
• Keep a close watch on non-pooled currency balances and work towards improving the accuracy of cash flow forecasts.
• Conduct in-depth analyses of bank account cash positions to pinpoint integration opportunities that can enhance efficiency.
• Oversee daily cash positioning and manage the funding of corporate wallets to ensure smooth operations.
• Facilitate the settlement of foreign exchange transactions with banking partners through the Treasury Management System.
• Create comprehensive 13-week cash flow forecasts by leveraging historical accounts payable and receivable data.
• Maintain detailed interest tracking files and provide reports on non-L4L and rejected bank fees to ensure transparency.
• Assist in the global rollout of the Treasury Management System by contributing to documentation and testing processes.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements concerning the Korean Won (KRW) and implement cash segregation controls.
• Identify areas for operational enhancements and implement strategies to boost overall efficiency within the treasury function.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a treasury department within a regulated financial services organization.
• Strong knowledge of treasury operations, cash management practices, financial markets, and investment strategies is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in managing cash concentration and notional pooling structures effectively.
• Familiarity with treasury regulations in the ASEAN region, particularly those relevant to India's currency control frameworks.
• Understanding of the complete bank account maintenance process, including Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements.
• Proven track record of managing pay-in and pay-out flows in at least five different currencies.

Nice to have

• An MBA or relevant professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) would be advantageous.
• Over three years of experience in a central or global treasury function, as opposed to a subsidiary role, is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Treasury Management Systems, accounting ERP software, and MS/Google Office applications.
• Experience with conducting safeguarding audits, risk and liquidity assessments, and stress testing would be beneficial.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in using Treasury Management Systems (TMS) for effective cash management.
• Experience with accounting ERP systems to streamline financial operations.
• Competent in MS Office and Google Office Suite for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong skills in financial forecasting and statistical estimation techniques.
• Knowledgeable in cash segregation and pooling frameworks to ensure compliance and efficiency.
