Technical Product Manager, Private Cloud Domain

About the role

You will manage the platforms that govern how thousands of services are deployed, operated, and scaled within Agoda. This role requires you to balance developer autonomy with the necessary guardrails for reliability, security, and cost-efficiency across the entire service lifecycle. You will own the strategic direction and execution of the internal platforms that form the backbone of Agoda's engineering productivity. The position sits within the Production Deployments team where you will act as the primary interface between infrastructure platforms and development teams. You will translate complex operational constraints into coherent product roadmaps and day-to-day feature improvements. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to enable faster, safer, and more predictable software delivery at scale. You will work closely with SREs, platform engineers, and application teams to ensure the platforms evolve in step with business and technical needs.

What you'll do

• Map the end-to-end journey of service deployment to uncover bottlenecks and define opportunities for product improvements.
• Establish a long-term vision for service management that aligns deployment patterns, scaling strategies, upgrade paths, and eventual retirement processes.
• Partner with SREs and platform engineers to surface operational pain points and translate them into prioritized platform initiatives.
• Design and implement automated guardrails and standards that enhance release safety while maintaining development velocity.
• Construct visibility tools and dashboards that provide insight into resource usage, enabling teams to identify and act on cost optimization opportunities.
• Develop and promote self-service capabilities that allow engineering teams to manage their own services within established security and reliability frameworks.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators such as deployment frequency, change failure rates, and resource utilization to guide product decisions.
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops to gather requirements, align on priorities, and ensure stakeholder buy-in for platform changes.
• Maintain a structured product backlog that balances quick wins with strategic investments in platform robustness and usability.
• Conduct regular reviews of tooling and workflows to ensure they continue to meet the evolving needs of Agoda's engineering organization.
• Document product decisions, trade-offs, and rationales to ensure clarity and continuity across the production deployments team.
• Collaborate with security and compliance partners to ensure platform features adhere to internal policies and external regulations.
• Drive experiments and prototypes to validate new platform concepts before committing to large-scale implementations.
• Act as a product steward, ensuring that platform enhancements are delivered on schedule and meet agreed-upon quality standards.

Requirements

• Bring 3+ years of experience in technical product or program management within a highly technical environment focused on infrastructure or developer platforms.
• Maintain a professional background in or near production environments with a solid understanding of how services are deployed, operated, and supported at scale.
• Demonstrate the ability to translate complex developer requirements into actionable platform features without losing sight of technical feasibility.
• Show experience navigating trade-offs between speed, safety, and standardization while communicating rationale to diverse stakeholders.
• Have a proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives that involve cloud platforms or internal developer infrastructure.
• Use strong communication skills to influence engineering teams and stakeholders even when you do not hold direct authority over their work.
• Show hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence to manage requirements, track progress, and maintain documentation.
• Apply a data-driven mindset, leveraging SQL and dashboards to measure impact, validate hypotheses, and guide product strategy.
• Exhibit comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities can shift based on operational needs.
• Demonstrate ownership of complex problems and the ability to break them down into manageable pieces that can be executed by cross-functional teams.
• Understand the fundamentals of containerized services, service discovery, service meshes, and orchestration platforms.
• Commit to working within the full relocation requirement to Bangkok, Thailand, and utilizing the relocation support provided by Agoda.
