About the role
Agoda is seeking a leader for its Global Employee Relations Team to define policy standards, case governance, and analytical frameworks. This role is responsible for managing complex labor relations, disciplinary matters, and workforce risks while acting as a strategic partner to Legal, HR leadership, and government bodies. The hire will establish governance standards and decision frameworks to ensure consistent application of company policies and local regulations across all operations. They will advise people managers on labor relations and HR policy frameworks while identifying systemic capability gaps that hinder effective case management. The individual will represent the organization during union consultations, collective bargaining, and dispute resolution proceedings to protect organizational interests. They will oversee the execution and documentation of disciplinary actions and terminations to mitigate organizational risk and ensure procedural integrity. Conducting impartial investigations into employee grievances and analyzing underlying trends to improve internal procedures will be a core responsibility. Utilizing performance management data and misconduct history to recommend policy revisions and training enhancements will drive continuous improvement in employee relations practices.

What you'll do

- Collaborate with the Legal team to manage regulatory interactions and arbitration processes.
- Develop and maintain analytical frameworks that provide insights into workforce risks and employee relations trends.
- Partner with HR leadership to design and implement policies that align with business objectives and legal requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on employment law and industrial relations for internal stakeholders and external regulators.
- Monitor changes in local labor legislation and assess the impact on company policies and operational practices.
- Facilitate training sessions for managers to ensure proper handling of sensitive employee relations issues.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex cases that involve multiple departments and jurisdictions.
- Drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the employee relations function.
Requirements
- Minimum 13 years of experience in Employee Relations, Labor Relations, or HR Business Partnering within large or regulated organizations.
- Degree in Human Resource Management, Law, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Deep expertise in employment legislation, industrial relations practices, and their practical application in complex environments.
- Proven track record in managing restructuring and change management projects.
- Advanced skills in stakeholder management, negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution.
- Proficiency in using data and analytics to inform strategic decision-making.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Ability to maintain high levels of discretion, ethics, and confidentiality in sensitive situations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations in Thailand and other relevant jurisdictions.
- Experience handling union interactions and collective bargaining processes.
- Track record of developing and implementing policies that mitigate employment-related risks.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a fair workplace.
