About the role
The North Asia Regional Management Office serves as the critical linkage between regional leadership and operational execution. In this Senior Lead capacity, you will be responsible for translating high-level corporate directives into coherent, actionable strategies that propel growth across the North Asia region. This role demands a strategic architect who can navigate complex market dynamics and ensure that strategic vision is not only defined but also effectively implemented on the ground. You will act as a central liaison, aligning cross-functional stakeholders and bridging the gap between overarching business objectives and tangible, market-level results. What you'll do
- Design and implement long-term strategies to improve business growth and market competitiveness within the North Asia region.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators to track the success of strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with Agoda's overarching goals.
- Manage the end-to-end execution of programs, coordinating all phases to ensure they meet company objectives and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with senior leaders across finance, marketing, product, and supply departments to ensure integrated and cohesive strategy deployment.
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitor benchmarking to identify emerging trends, market shifts, and new strategic priorities.
- Use advanced data analysis to evaluate performance metrics, generating clear, evidence-based insights that inform executive decision-making.
- Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation for regional initiatives.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops and alignment sessions to gather requirements, clarify expectations, and secure stakeholder buy-in for strategic programs.
- Synthesize complex market data, performance metrics, and competitive intelligence into concise, high-impact reports for leadership review.
- Partner with finance teams to build robust business cases, perform ROI analysis, and evaluate the financial viability of proposed regional projects.
- Lead structured risk assessment processes to identify potential obstacles, challenge assumptions, and develop mitigation strategies for key initiatives.
- Coordinate with external partners, vendors, and agencies to ensure seamless execution of regional programs and services.
- Establish and maintain performance dashboards that provide real-time visibility into the progress of strategic objectives and key milestones.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performing culture and elevating the overall capability of the North Asia Regional Management Office.
- Ensure all activities adhere to Agoda's policies, procedures, and compliance standards, maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive company and stakeholder information.
- Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, including willingness to participate in after-hours meetings to accommodate regional time differences when necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a closely related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Professional fluency in both Korean and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in management consulting, strategy, or a related field, with a track record of leading high-impact, cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong quantitative aptitude, with the ability to analyze complex datasets, derive insights, and communicate findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Advanced project management expertise, including experience with end-to-end program management, prioritization, and delivery under tight timelines.
- Experience building and managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders across hierarchical and functional boundaries.
- Comfort working with incomplete or ambiguous information, making timely, data-informed decisions in uncertain situations.
- Deep understanding of the online travel agency industry and the specific dynamics of the South Korean market.
