About the role
In this pivotal role, you will spearhead Agoda's initiatives to forge and enhance partnerships with financial institutions in Taiwan. Your responsibilities will encompass managing relationships with banks, credit card issuers, digital wallets, and various payment platforms. You will oversee the entire partnership lifecycle, from identifying potential opportunities to negotiating terms, launching initiatives, and optimizing ongoing collaborations. This position requires a blend of strategic foresight and hands-on execution to achieve significant commercial outcomes.

What you'll do
- Develop and implement Agoda's partnership strategy for financial institutions in Taiwan, aligning it with market demands and growth objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new partnership opportunities with banks, credit card companies, payment processors, and loyalty programs.
- Create compelling partnership proposals and business cases to secure internal buy-in and partner engagement.
- Lead negotiations and finalize contracts with both new and existing financial institution partners.
- Manage a portfolio of significant financial institution accounts in Taiwan, fostering strong relationships and ensuring long-term alignment.
- Collaborate with partners to create joint business plans that focus on customer acquisition, transaction volumes, brand visibility, and profitability.
- Monitor partner performance, identifying areas for growth, optimization strategies, and operational improvements.
- Oversee the rollout of campaigns, product integrations, and partner initiatives, ensuring timely execution.
- Collaborate with various internal teams, including Marketing, Product, Analytics, Finance, Legal, and Operations, to launch and expand partnership programs.
- Translate partner needs into clear internal directives and drive execution across departments.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, using data-driven insights to influence decisions.
- Enhance internal processes, reporting structures, and operational models to improve scalability.
- Analyze partnership outcomes, customer behaviors, campaign results, and commercial metrics to derive actionable insights.
- Utilize data to identify trends, inform investment decisions, and enhance partnership returns.
- Develop business cases for new initiatives and present them to senior leadership for approval.
- Maintain oversight of pipeline health, performance metrics, and overall impact of partnerships.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, account management, consulting, or related commercial roles.
- Proven track record of managing external partnerships and achieving commercial success in a dynamic, data-driven environment.
- Experience working with or within financial institutions, payment companies, loyalty programs, or digital consumer platforms is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects from inception to completion.
- Strong commercial acumen with the capability to negotiate and structure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convert data into actionable business insights.
- Strong project management capabilities, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Proven skills in stakeholder management and communication, including the ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach and the ability to work independently in ambiguous situations.
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is essential.
