About the role
You will architect and own the intelligence layer that sits on top of our recruiting stack, turning disconnected signals into a compounding strategic asset. You will design and run the systems and automations that power every strategic talent decision we make, ensuring every hire makes the next hire smarter. You will build the connective tissue across our tools so candidate behavior, interview performance, and sourcing data finally talk to each other. You will create the orchestration layer that automates repetitive work and surfaces what is most important to our recruiters. You will own the AI agents that map and identify exceptional candidates before we even know we need them. You will build the feedback loops that connect post-hire performance back into sourcing criteria so the system improves over time. You will make our warm intro engine scalable by mapping Agentio's network against target candidates. You will own the analytics and dashboards that give recruiters real visibility into funnel performance at every stage. This role is a natural fit for someone with an interest in product or ops, where the work itself is genuine systems and infrastructure building.

What you'll do
Design and own the intelligence layer that powers strategic talent decisions by identifying which candidates we should target and how to prioritize outreach before contact.
Build an orchestration layer that automates repeatable recruiting tasks and surfaces critical information so recruiters can focus on relationships instead of admin.
Create AI agents that map, identify, and surface exceptional candidates proactively, coordinated across the full talent lifecycle.
Construct the connective tissue across our talent stack so signal compounds across tools rather than sitting in silos.
Develop a warm intro engine that maps Agentio's network against target candidates and makes it frictionless for founders, investors, and teammates to open doors.
Build pipeline analytics and dashboards that provide the recruiting team with real visibility into performance at every funnel stage.
Implement feedback loops that connect post-hire performance data back into sourcing criteria so the system improves iteratively.
Own the technical roadmap for our recruiting systems, working with product and ops to align tools with evolving talent strategy.
Evaluate, integrate, and future-proof the stack as the landscape shifts, ensuring our infrastructure can scale with aggressive hiring goals.
Champion data-driven decision making by defining metrics, monitoring system health, and driving continuous improvement across talent operations.
Requirements
You must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
You must have 5+ years of experience building and operating production software systems, with a strong track record of delivering reliable infrastructure.
You must be proficient in at least one systems-level programming language such as Go, Rust, or Java, and comfortable writing performant, maintainable services.
You must have hands-on experience with data pipelines, event-driven architectures, and workflow orchestration tools.
You must have experience working with large language models or agentic systems, including prompt engineering and evaluation frameworks.
You must have a strong understanding of database design, distributed systems, and scalable architectures.
You must be comfortable working with ambiguous problems and navigating a fast-moving, rapidly evolving stack.
You must be highly analytical and comfortable translating qualitative problems into quantitative models and experiments.
Nice to have
Experience building internal tooling for recruiters or sales teams.
Experience with recruiting or marketing technology stacks.
Familiarity with talent intelligence platforms and people analytics.
Experience contributing to open source projects or building public-facing developer tools.
Practical notes
This is a full-time role based in New York, NY.
The role may require travel within the New York metropolitan area as needed for team collaboration.
