Strategic Finance Lead
Job description
About the role
You will own the strategic financial architecture that underpins our marketplace, translating high level market dynamics into actionable capital allocation decisions that compound over time. This role requires you to build and interrogate complex economic models that reveal where liquidity creates durable competitive advantage and where it merely burns cash. You will partner deeply with product and engineering to design incentive structures that align creator and brand behavior with our long term network effects. You will act as the primary financial translator between the board's expectations and the day to day reality of marketplace operations. Your analysis will directly determine which experiments scale and which are killed quickly to preserve capital. Ultimately, you will be responsible for ensuring that every major financial decision at Agentio is grounded in rigorous, first principles reasoning rather than historical precedent.
Key facts
What you'll do
Build and maintain a comprehensive economic model of the marketplace that maps take rate, fill rate, match rate, wallet share, and ad spend as a dynamic system rather than isolated metrics.
Diagnose marketplace liquidity health by interpreting financial signals, identifying where bids go unfilled and supply sits idle, and quantifying the true cost of those frictions.
Translate marketplace flywheel mechanics into precise dollar terms, modeling how marginal improvements on one side of the market compound through to net revenue and ad spend on the other.
Partner with engineering, product, and data science teams to design, size, and own the financial impact of creator and brand incentive experiments from hypothesis through readout.
Own the end to end economics of live tests, including defining counterfactuals, establishing breakeven conditions, and determining whether results justify scaling.
Develop and own pricing and packaging strategy across both sides of the marketplace, balancing competitiveness with long term margin and liquidity health.
Lead scenario planning and sensitivity analysis for major bets, including headcount, product investment, and incentive budgets, to ensure capital deployment aligns with strategic priorities.
Build the financial narrative that communicates marketplace health to the board and investors, turning complex operational data into clear, decisive recommendations.
Establish rigorous financial guardrails for experimentation and growth, ensuring that all actions are evaluated against contribution to sustainable net revenue and network value.
Champion a culture where financial insight drives product and marketing decisions, positioning strategic finance as a core growth engine rather than a back office function.
Define and track leading and lagging indicators for marketplace health, creating early warning systems for liquidity risk and opportunities for acceleration.
Own the integration of financial data across systems, ensuring that the models powering our AI-native platform reflect real world performance with high fidelity.
Champion test and learn methodologies that de risk major strategic moves by breaking them into measurable stages with clear kill criteria.
Collaborate closely with sales and operations to forecast demand, optimize supply, and model the financial impact of go to market initiatives in a rapidly scaling environment.
Requirements
You have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
You have at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in finance, strategy, or operations, with at least 2 years in a marketplace or platform environment.

You have demonstrated experience designing and analyzing incentive programs, including A B testing and cohort based measurement.
You are comfortable working with large data sets and have hands on experience querying data with SQL or a similar language.
You have strong experience in both financial modeling and presentation, translating complex analyses into clear narratives for executive audiences.
