Manager, AI & Technology Finance
Job description
About the role
You will serve as the primary financial strategist and business partner for Commure's Engineering, Product & Design (EPD) and General & Administrative (G&A) organizations, owning the end-to-end financial planning and analysis for the cost side of the P&L. In this role, you will define and drive the company's AI and LLM strategy across finance and the teams you support, identifying value-led pilots and quantifying ROI. You will own the R&D and G&A spend and headcount envelope, establishing guardrails and providing early visibility into trade-offs to protect operating leverage. You will partner directly with technical and corporate leaders to build the financial infrastructure and tools necessary to scale these functions in a fast-paced, pre-IPO healthcare technology environment. This position requires a high bias for action, enabling you to drive multiple concurrent projects to completion while maintaining rigorous governance. You will translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that influence engineering, product, and corporate decision-making. If you are energized by hard problems, high stakes, and a mission transforming healthcare delivery, you will find your people here.

What you'll do
Forge trusted relationships and serve as the primary finance partner to EPD and G&A leadership, translating financial data into clear, actionable insights that drive decision-making. Define and drive the company's AI and LLM strategy across finance and the EPD/G&A functions, identifying and prioritizing value-led AI pilots and standing up LLM-powered forecasting, reporting, and automation. Own the OpEx and headcount for EPD and G&A end-to-end, setting spend and hiring guardrails and protecting operating leverage as the company scales. Build bottoms-up headcount models and a dollar-based resource envelope, partnering with People/Talent and functional leaders to sequence hiring against the product roadmap, compliance needs, and operational scale. Lead annual planning, quarterly reforecasts, and monthly updates with clear assumptions and crisp variance narratives while owning the EPD/G&A budget and expense plan. Partner with Procurement to manage internal tooling and SaaS spend, running a tracked pipeline of renewals, vendor rationalization, and efficiency opportunities. Build sophisticated models to evaluate unit economics, ROI of R&D and infrastructure investments, build-vs-buy decisions, and overall capital efficiency. Design and implement scalable, automated forecasting and reporting processes and the data infrastructure behind them to support rapid growth. Leverage hands-on LLM literacy, such as Claude Cowork & Code, to apply AI to finance operations and drive productivity gains. Represent the finance function in high-visibility discussions with senior executives and external partners, communicating complex financial topics to diverse stakeholders.
