What you'll do

• Conduct detailed inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal specifications.
• Develop and implement inspection protocols and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of quality assurance processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify potential quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspection results, including documentation of non-conformities and corrective actions taken.
• Utilize various inspection tools and techniques, such as visual inspections, measurements, and testing equipment, to assess product quality.
• Participate in root cause analysis for quality-related issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on quality assurance practices and inspection techniques.
• Prepare detailed reports summarizing inspection findings and present them to management and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to quality assurance and inspection.
• Assist in the development of quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Engage in regular audits of production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Foster a culture of quality within the organization by promoting awareness and understanding of quality principles among staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality inspection or assurance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards and methodologies, such as ISO, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and testing machines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical specifications and standards.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey inspection results and recommendations.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Familiarity with quality management software and data analysis tools is a plus.

Nice to have

• Certification in quality inspection or assurance, such as Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or similar credentials.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis techniques.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to the industry, such as FDA or OSHA standards.
• Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a quality assurance team.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices.

Skills & tools

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and documentation management software.
• Familiarity with CAD software for reviewing technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to conduct training sessions and workshops on quality assurance practices.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
