What you'll do
You will set the product course for payments in North America, defining priority bets through the lens of AI and data. You will architect a cohesive product strategy that aligns with the overarching business objectives and market demands. A core responsibility involves establishing solutions in collaboration with Engineering, Partnerships, and Commercial teams to ensure roadmaps meet complex enterprise demands. You will coach and expand a team of product managers, driving a culture of technical excellence and rapid execution. You will represent enterprise customers within internal discussions and present roadmap narratives to key strategic clients to align vision with value. The role requires translating platform capabilities into distinct regional offerings that address the intricate business needs across North America. You will champion experimentation to validate hypotheses and refine product behavior in live environments to reduce risk. You will convert strategic themes into clear, actionable requirements that guide delivery milestones and success metrics for cross-functional teams. A critical function involves partnering with Security and Compliance to ensure all product designs adhere to regulatory standards for payments. You will analyze market trends and customer feedback to iterate on the product vision continuously. You will leverage data analytics to measure product performance and inform future iterations of the payment solutions. You will identify opportunities for innovation by dissecting customer workflows and pinpointing areas where technology can deliver transformative value. You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from initial hypothesis through to launch and post-launch optimization. You will foster a deep partnership with the Engineering organization to ensure technical feasibility and scalability of the product vision. You will utilize qualitative and quantitative insights to prioritize features that maximize customer satisfaction and business impact.
Requirements
You must possess a minimum of 15 years of experience in technology, with at least 8 years in senior product leadership capacities such as Director or Vice President. You must demonstrate hands-on experience with AI and ML products, including agents, copilots, and the embedding of machine learning within production systems. You must be technically fluent enough to engage in deep architectural discussions with engineering leaders, and a background in software engineering is a significant advantage. You must have a proven track record of scaling product organizations and delivering large-scale solutions within top-tier technology companies. You must show deep passion for the payments ecosystem and a willingness to observe customer workflows firsthand to solve complex problems. You must connect long-term vision into measurable execution, inspiring cross-functional teams to deliver results consistently. You must have a history of thriving in ambiguous environments while maintaining a bias for action and ownership. You must communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, articulating complex concepts with clarity and precision. You must be committed to fostering an inclusive and collaborative team environment that drives innovation. You must have a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape governing payments in North America. You must be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You must exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, approaching challenges with a logical and methodical mindset. You must be comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and navigating high levels of uncertainty. You must have experience working with global teams and collaborating across different time zones. You must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
Experience in the financial services or fintech industry is preferred. A background in building AI-powered products or platforms is highly desirable. Prior experience in a leadership role within a North American market is advantageous. Familiarity with Adyen's product suite and value proposition is beneficial.
