The Technical Success Engineer is based in Addepar's Edinburgh office and serves as a bridge between client needs and the internal product and engineering teams, translating real-world usage patterns into insights that drive product evolution. What you'll do
- Partner closely with client teams to understand their investment reporting, portfolio tracking, and data management priorities and challenges
- Guide clients through the end-to-end setup and configuration of the Addepar platform, from initial deployment through ongoing optimization
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues that clients encounter while using the Addepar platform in their daily workflows
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation that captures client configurations, integration setups, and operational best practices for reference
- Work alongside the engineering team to relay client feature requests, usability observations, and bug reports in a structured format
- Deliver live training sessions and written guides that help client teams build internal expertise and confidence with the tool
- Track client engagement metrics and proactively reach out when adoption patterns suggest opportunities to deepen platform usage and value
- Partner with the product team to prioritize and communicate client feedback that can inform future roadmap decisions and releases
- Support the deployment of new platform features and version updates into existing client environments with minimal disruption to operations
- Cultivate trusted, long-term relationships with key stakeholders at each client organization to ensure sustained satisfaction and platform growth
- Collaborate with the sales team during later-stage deal discussions to provide technical clarity and set accurate implementation expectations
Requirements
- Proven experience in a technical support, customer success, or implementation role at a software or technology company
- Solid understanding of financial data concepts including portfolio accounting, performance measurement, or asset management workflows
- Ability to explain technical configurations and system behavior clearly to both engineering teams and business stakeholders
- Hands-on comfort working with APIs, data integrations, and configuration settings within a cloud-based software environment
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, or a related quantitative discipline is required
- Demonstrated skill in managing several client accounts or projects at the same time without losing focus or quality
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities with a consistent emphasis on precision and clarity in all interactions
- Willingness to travel to client offices or attend in-person meetings and events as business needs require
Nice to have
- Previous experience working directly within financial services, wealth management, or family office environments is highly valued
- Familiarity with data visualization platforms and business intelligence reporting tools used in investment contexts
- Practical knowledge of SQL or a scripting language such as Python for data extraction and manipulation tasks
- Track record of presenting technical findings or product demonstrations to senior leadership and executive-level audiences
