About the role
Addepar is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager to lead our Portfolio Data Feeds team based in Salt Lake City. This role involves a combination of product management, team leadership, and technical oversight. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for guiding a team of analysts, ensuring the quality and integrity of portfolio data, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to facilitate data integration. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, enhancing data workflows, and supporting the company's broader mission to deliver innovative financial technology solutions. What you'll do
- Serve as a player-coach, managing and actively contributing to the work of Portfolio Data Analysts across the United States, ensuring the team meets its objectives and maintains high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Develop, implement, and monitor process controls and metrics to uphold data quality, operational efficiency, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Lead onboarding initiatives for new team members, providing comprehensive training and mentorship to accelerate their integration and development within the team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify growth opportunities to support career advancement and skill development for team members.
- Establish clear goals and expectations for the team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration aligned with Addepar's core values.
- Collaborate with external financial data providers to facilitate the acquisition, validation, and integration of portfolio data into Addepar's platform, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
- your knowledge of existing data models and frameworks to draft detailed technical requirements for transforming raw data into usable content that meets client and internal needs.
- Analyze and synthesize data from various sources, including external providers and internal systems, to ensure comprehensive and reliable portfolio data feeds.
- Work closely with engineering, product management, and data operations teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable data solutions that support Addepar's products and client requirements.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to identify opportunities for process automation, data quality improvements, and innovative data solutions that enhance client experience.
- Gain deep insights into Addepar's products, client base, and industry trends to identify opportunities for data-driven enhancements and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain awareness of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements affecting data management and integration within the financial services sector.
- Support the development of documentation, training materials, and best practices to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing across the team and organization.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners, representing the Portfolio Data Feeds team in meetings, planning sessions, and strategic discussions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant data security, privacy, and regulatory standards, including adherence to ITAR regulations where applicable.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of team workflows, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and data quality.

Requirements
- A minimum of five years of experience in data analysis, product management, or related roles within the financial services or technology sectors.
- Proven experience managing teams and leading cross-functional projects, with a focus on data workflows, quality assurance, and process improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process controls, metrics, and quality standards to ensure high data integrity.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data issues and develop effective solutions.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical requirements into clear documentation and collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of data development concepts, data modeling, and data transformation processes relevant to financial data feeds.
- Proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, Databricks, or similar tools used in data analysis and automation within financial services.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing organizational needs.
- Familiarity with external data providers and the challenges associated with integrating third-party data sources.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Experience working within a regulated environment and understanding of compliance standards related to financial data.
- Ability to contribute to a team-oriented environment, fostering collaboration and continuous learning.
Nice to have
- Experience with data integration and analytics platforms, such as cloud-based data warehouses or ETL tools.
- Familiarity with financial data workflows, portfolio management systems, or related financial technology solutions.
- Knowledge of ITAR regulations and experience working with sensitive or regulated data environments.
- Prior experience in a leadership role within a data-focused team in a financial technology company.

Practical notes
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship and must be available to start on their first day of employment.
- The salary range for this position is between $147,000 and $184,000, exclusive of bonuses and equity. Specific salary details will be discussed during the interview process.
