About the role
As a , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of utility systems within our facilities. This position is essential for supporting our pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, where reliability and compliance with industry standards are paramount. You will be responsible for overseeing utilities such as water, steam, compressed air, and HVAC systems, ensuring they operate at optimal levels to support production and meet regulatory requirements.

What you'll do
- Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of utility systems, ensuring they meet operational and safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of utility systems to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with local regulations and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to ensure seamless integration of utility services into manufacturing processes.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all utility systems to minimize downtime and enhance reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to utility systems, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors as necessary.
- Monitor utility consumption and performance metrics, providing analysis and recommendations for energy efficiency and cost reduction initiatives.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to utility systems, including standard operating procedures, maintenance logs, and compliance reports.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in utility technologies, recommending upgrades or changes to improve system performance and sustainability.
- Participate in project planning and execution for new utility installations or upgrades, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.
- Train and mentor junior engineering staff and technicians on best practices for utility management and maintenance.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts related to utility operations, ensuring cost-effective management of resources.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability and efficiency of utility systems across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in utilities management or engineering within a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of utility systems, including water treatment, steam generation, compressed air systems, and HVAC.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to utilities in the pharmaceutical sector.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in utility systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in using engineering software and tools for system analysis and design.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

- Knowledge of automation and control systems related to utility operations.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
- Professional certifications in utilities management or engineering (e.g., PE license).

- Ability to utilize project management software for planning and execution.
