What you'll do

• Lead the costing team in developing and implementing cost management strategies that align with Bamboohr's business objectives.
• Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining product quality and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and finance, to gather relevant data for accurate cost calculations.
• Prepare detailed cost reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations for cost optimization.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of costing processes, proposing improvements as necessary to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards in all costing activities.
• Conduct regular audits of cost data to ensure accuracy and integrity, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff in the costing department, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in costing and financial management to inform strategic decisions.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing cost-related insights to support financial planning.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers and regulatory bodies, to facilitate effective costing practices.
• Lead special projects related to costing and financial analysis as assigned by senior management.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a costing or financial analysis role, preferably within the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of costing methodologies, financial analysis, and budgeting processes.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with SAP or similar platforms is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
