About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Controller to own the end to end cash and liquidity management lifecycle for our crypto funds under the direct supervision of the Crypto Fund Controller. The hire will architect and execute daily wire instructions, token settlements, and in-kind distributions while maintaining strict custody controls and reconciliations. This role owns the design of monitoring dashboards for crypto activity including staking, delegation, and sales to ensure real time visibility into fund exposures. You will drive the quarterly close process for multiple funds, coordinating with enterprise systems and external administrators to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting. The position requires direct engagement with prime brokers, custodians, and bankers to resolve operational issues and confirm settlement details. You will challenge existing workflows, identify process improvements, and standardize controls across a growing portfolio of complex crypto strategies. The successful candidate will translate technical trading features such as leverage, short positions, and derivatives into practical cash and accounting controls. This is a hands on role that bridges finance, technology, and operations to protect assets and support high quality decision making.

What you'll do

Orchestrate daily cash flows, executing and reviewing wires for investing, distributions, and operational payments across global counterparties.

Lead the execution of cash, token, stock, and other in-kind distributions, aligning closely with bankers, brokers, custodians, and transfer agents.

Oversee and supervise the full wiring activity for portfolio investments, trading settlements, investor transactions, and fund expenses.

Review the work of Senior and Staff accountants, providing clear direction, feedback, and escalation when necessary.

Maintain and evolve portfolio tracking reports, ensuring data integrity, timeliness, and consistency across finance and external reports.

Monitor all crypto activity, including custody, staking, delegation, sales, purchases, and any related slashing or operational events.

Partner with Investor Relations to prepare materials for Limited Partners, ensuring transparency and accuracy in reporting.

Collaborate with Corporate Accounting and General Partners to close books efficiently and support ad hoc analyses.

Utilize enterprise software such as AllVue, Anaplan, Salesforce, HazelTree, WorkDay, Tres, and Qval to automate controls and scale processes.

Champion improvements to workflows, documentation, and internal controls in a high growth, fast moving environment.

Requirements

Candidates must possess direct experience in liquid trading, including familiarity with NAV calculations, short positions, leverage, and derivatives.

You must have a strong understanding of crypto custody, staking, and delegation mechanics, along with the associated risks and settlement processes.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, deadline driven environment is essential.

You should bring experience working with enterprise finance systems, particularly in data validation, reconciliation, and process documentation.

A detail oriented mindset is required to maintain accurate cash records, reconcile transactions, and ensure compliance with fund policies.

Effective communication skills are necessary to interact with internal stakeholders, external service providers, and auditors.

You must be comfortable working with large data sets, performing validations, and documenting procedures clearly and thoroughly.

The ability to collaborate across teams, including Legal, Tax, Technology, and Operations, is critical to success in this role.
