What you'll do

• Design and implement developer tools that streamline workflows and improve productivity for software engineers across various teams.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement in existing development processes and tools.
• Develop and maintain documentation for tools and systems, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all users.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to enhance code quality and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines to facilitate automated testing and deployment processes.
• Analyze and optimize system performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Work closely with product teams to integrate user feedback into the development of tools and features that meet the needs of developers.
• Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas and solutions for enhancing the developer experience.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to inform the development of new tools and practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in software development and tool usage.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on building developer tools or platforms.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Go, with a strong understanding of software development principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including knowledge of deployment and scaling practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, with experience in setting up automated testing and deployment pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems and processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• A passion for improving developer experiences and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack, to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Previous experience working in a startup environment or with venture-backed companies.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies and frameworks like React or Angular, which can enhance collaboration with frontend teams.
