What you'll do
- Develop and manage the product strategy for data quality monitoring, self-service reporting, and the internal Data Tools platform.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities within the data portfolio to enhance productivity through tooling and automation.
- Establish and standardize metrics and KPIs related to data quality, coverage, accuracy, and freshness across various data domains.
- Create and implement self-service dashboards and reporting tools that provide stakeholders with real-time insights into data health.
- Prioritize and deliver AI-driven enhancements for data quality and automated remediation to minimize manual processes.
- Oversee the internal Data Tools roadmap, ensuring tools significantly improve productivity for data researchers, analysts, and product managers.
- Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to create AI-powered solutions for anomaly detection, root cause analysis, and self-healing data pipelines.
- Promote the adoption of new tools across data operations, engineering, and product management teams through effective communication and training.
- Manage interdependencies across data domains to ensure quality monitoring integrates effectively with other systems.
- Conduct in-depth discussions with internal stakeholders to identify genuine tooling and workflow challenges beyond initial feedback.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, specifically with data products, platforms, internal tools, or data-focused B2B SaaS.
- Proven track record in developing data quality, monitoring, observability, or self-service analytics products.
- Experience in delivering AI/ML-powered product features, particularly in the context of data quality and automation.
- Strong knowledge of data quality frameworks, metrics, anomaly detection, and large-scale data systems.
- Experience with platform and tooling products, demonstrating the ability to drive user adoption across varied internal audiences.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to independently define metrics, analyze data, and make informed decisions.
- Skilled in solving complex technical challenges in collaboration with engineering and data science teams.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts for diverse audiences and producing clear product requirement documents.
- Proactive mindset with a history of identifying opportunities for improvement across a product portfolio rather than merely responding to requests.
- Experience in B2B SaaS, ideally within data platforms, developer tools, or data operations.

- Familiarity with data observability, data catalog, or data governance platforms.
- Background in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data science prior to transitioning to product management.
- Knowledge of modern data stack tools (such as dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, Fivetran).

Salary range for this position is between $126,000 and $198,000 USD, depending on factors such as location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
