Sr. Revenue Operations Business Analyst
Job description
About the role
This role translates business needs into Salesforce system design and supports Revenue Operations in leveraging data for practical insights. It bridges product owners and technical product managers through Agile delivery and system implementation.
Analysts turn data into clear answers. They pull numbers, clean data, build dashboards, and explain what changed and why. The work supports decisions across sales, product, marketing, and operations. Strong analysts pair technical skill with business curiosity. Analysts are the bridge between data and decisions. Most analysts own recurring reports and are expected to improve them over time.
Key facts
What you'll do
System designs emerge from synthesized business requirements and process flows. Project leadership for Sales Enablement technology covers end-to-end implementation and planning for Salesforce enhancements. Functional, technical, and system design documentation is produced, and testing is supported for Salesforce enhancements to ensure quality.
Requirements
The posting states a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Salesforce platform experience is required, including configuration, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and reporting/dashboarding with required certifications. Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or related experience over five years is required for this role. Leadership capabilities and cross-functional collaboration skills are necessary across business and technical teams in a matrixed environment. Scrum and Agile methodologies are used alongside tools such as Jira for tracking sprint status and metrics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are focused on process improvement and system optimization. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is a baseline qualification for the role.
Nice to have
Supporting high-growth environments and rapid scaling initiatives is preferred. Advanced Salesforce experience with Flow, automation, integrations, or CPQ configurations is preferred. Partnering with Product and Engineering teams through shared ownership of outcomes is preferred. Familiarity with BI or data tools such as SQL or Tableau is preferred for deeper analytical work. Leading system implementations or transformation initiatives in complex landscapes is preferred.
Practical notes
Typical interview steps
Analyst interviews often include a SQL or spreadsheet exercise, a case question, and behavioral rounds. Candidates may be asked to analyze a dataset, define a metric, or estimate an outcome. Presenting findings clearly is tested as often as the analysis itself. Interviewers often test speed and clarity with a timed exercise. Explaining what the numbers mean, not just what they are, is the differentiator.
Good to know
Salesforce is central to the role, and certifications in its platforms are required. The position operates within an Agile framework using tools like Jira for sprint planning and tracking. Data analysis and process improvement are core to deriving insights and enabling revenue teams. Cross-functional collaboration is essential to align business needs with system design. The role supports both remote and hybrid work arrangements with location-specific exceptions noted during hiring.
Questions to ask
Useful questions for the interview: what a typical week looks like, how work is assigned, what tools the team uses, and how feedback works. Asking how the role has changed recently and what the team wishes it had known when joining is also reasonable. Questions about the manager's priorities are especially valued.
Career growth
Analyst careers can grow into senior analyst, analytics manager, or data science roles. Some analysts move into product or business operations. Deeper technical skills or broader business ownership are the two main paths. Analyst roles are a common on-ramp into product, marketing, or operations leadership. Building deep domain knowledge alongside analytics is the fastest path.
