You will build strong internal partnerships with underwriters and product specialists to refine risk assessments and optimize coverage. You will track and communicate pipeline progress, ensuring transparency and accountability within the commercial sales framework. What you'll do
Develop deep commercial risk assessment capabilities to identify coverage gaps and design tailored insurance programs for growing businesses.
Generate and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities using the provided lead sources and internal databases.
Conduct discovery sessions with C-level stakeholders to uncover business priorities and align insurance strategies with operational goals.
Translate complex policy terms and conditions into accessible language, facilitating informed decision-making for clients.
Collaborate with underwriting teams to structure solutions that balance protection, cost-efficiency, and client expectations.
Utilize our proprietary digital platform to manage applications, documentation, and e-signature processes with a focus on speed and accuracy.
Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure that recommended solutions remain compliant and relevant.
Support account servicing transitions to ensure smooth renewals and ongoing client satisfaction beyond the initial sale.
Analyze performance metrics related to conversion rates, cycle times, and client feedback to refine your sales methodology.
Champion the Zensurance brand through every interaction, reinforcing our reputation for reliability, innovation, and exceptional service.
Maintain detailed records of all client interactions, decisions, and next steps within our CRM to support team continuity and strategic planning.
Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities by exploring additional coverage lines that address evolving client risk profiles.
Present clear and concise proposals that highlight value propositions, risk mitigation benefits, and return-on-investment narratives.
Act as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the insurance journey, ensuring consistent communication and transparency.
Requirements
You hold a current Property and Casualty license in at least one Canadian jurisdiction, with the ability to obtain additional licenses as required.
You possess a minimum of one year of proven experience in commercial insurance sales or brokerage roles.
You demonstrate a thorough understanding of commercial insurance products, including but not limited to liability, property, cyber, and workers' compensation coverage.
You are proficient in navigating insurance-related regulations and compliance standards across Canadian provinces and territories.
You have a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a structured environment.
You exhibit strong ethical judgment and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive client and company information.
You are comfortable working within a technology-driven insurance ecosystem and adopting new digital tools quickly.
You hold a Canadian driver's license and are eligible to drive if client site visits are required.
Nice to have
Experience with InsurTech platforms and digital insurance ecosystems.
Knowledge of industry-specific risks such as technology, manufacturing, or professional services.
Familiarity with CRM systems and sales automation tools.
A background in customer success or account management within the commercial space.
Practical notes
This is a full-time position based in Toronto, Ontario.
No cold calling or outbound prospecting is required as leads and accounts are provided.
Candidates must be eligible for Canadian employment without work sponsorship.
There are no current visa or relocation supports available for this role.
The role operates during standard business hours with potential for occasional after-hours client meetings.
Travel is not required for this position as client interactions are conducted remotely or at client premises within the Greater Toronto Area.
