As an IV&V (Independent Verification and Validation) Analyst specializing in Readiness Assessment and ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) at Xscion, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that IT systems and processes are aligned with best practices and meet the necessary standards for operational readiness. What you'll do
- Conduct thorough assessments of IT systems and processes to ensure compliance with ITIL best practices and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data related to system performance and readiness.
- Develop and implement evaluation frameworks to measure the effectiveness of IT services and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings, recommendations, and action plans for stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to discuss readiness assessments and gather feedback on proposed improvements.
- Monitor and track the implementation of recommended changes to ensure they are executed effectively and deliver the intended results.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation related to ITIL processes, including service design, transition, and operation.
- Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on ITIL principles and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in ITIL and IV&V methodologies to ensure the organization remains competitive and compliant.
- Participate in audits and assessments to validate the effectiveness of IT processes and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers to assess project readiness and provide insights on potential risks and mitigation strategies.
- Support the establishment of metrics and KPIs to measure the success of IT services and their alignment with business objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT analysis, IV&V, or a similar role, with a focus on ITIL practices.
- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and methodologies, with relevant certifications preferred (e.g., ITIL Foundation).
- Proven experience in conducting assessments and evaluations of IT systems and processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment and managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools is a plus.
- Proficiency in using assessment and reporting tools to track performance metrics.
Nice to have
- Advanced certifications in ITIL or related frameworks (e.g., ITIL Practitioner, ITIL Expert).
- Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards relevant to IT services (e.g., ISO 20000, CMMI).
- Familiarity with tools for process automation and performance monitoring.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
- Experience with data analysis tools and software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for visualizing performance metrics.
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Jira, Trello) to track project progress and tasks.
- Strong organizational skills to manage documentation and assessment processes efficiently.
