What you'll do

• Lead the development and execution of strategic planning processes, ensuring alignment with Wrlgold's vision and mission.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and data that inform strategic initiatives and decision-making.
• Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks that may impact the organization.
• Create and maintain a strategic roadmap that outlines key initiatives, timelines, and performance metrics.
• Facilitate strategic planning workshops and meetings, fostering a collaborative environment for idea generation and discussion.
• Monitor industry developments and competitor activities, providing regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Develop and present strategic proposals to executive management, articulating the rationale and expected outcomes of recommended actions.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives and adjust plans as necessary.
• Mentor and guide junior team members in strategic thinking and planning methodologies, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure resource allocation aligns with strategic priorities.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, summarizing strategic insights and progress on initiatives.
• Engage with external partners and stakeholders to build relationships that support Wrlgold's strategic objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, or a related field, preferably within the mining or natural resources sector.
• Proven track record of successfully leading strategic initiatives from conception to implementation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in strategic planning tools and methodologies, such as SWOT analysis, PESTLE analysis, and scenario planning.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire others.
• Familiarity with financial modeling and budgeting processes.
