What you'll do

Monitor and analyze real-time data from SCADA systems to ensure optimal performance of wind energy assets.
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to SCADA systems, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient energy production.
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement solutions for system improvements and upgrades.
Prepare detailed reports on system performance, including metrics on energy production, equipment status, and operational efficiency.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of SCADA systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Assist in the development and implementation of operational protocols and procedures to enhance safety and efficiency.
Provide training and support to team members on SCADA system functionalities and best practices.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss operational challenges and propose data-driven solutions.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in SCADA technology to recommend improvements for our systems.
Work closely with IT teams to ensure cybersecurity measures are in place for SCADA systems.
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall performance of wind energy operations.
Support the integration of new technologies and software into existing SCADA systems to improve data collection and analysis.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience working with SCADA systems in the energy sector, preferably in wind energy.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make informed decisions.
Proficiency in SCADA software and tools, with experience in data visualization and reporting.
Familiarity with renewable energy technologies and their operational requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying areas for improvement.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the energy industry.

Nice to have

Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, or similar for data analysis and automation.
Familiarity with wind turbine operations and maintenance practices.
Previous experience in project management or leading cross-functional teams.
Certifications related to SCADA systems or renewable energy technologies.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles as they relate to SCADA systems.

Skills & tools

Proficient in SCADA software and data management tools.
Strong understanding of data analysis techniques and statistical methods.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Knowledge of programming languages for automation and data manipulation is a plus.
