We are seeking a Director of Product Management, Hardware to help define the future of WHOOP hardware by setting the portfolio vision and strategy for our next generation of products. This leader will own the end-to-end success of the hardware portfolio, balancing ambitious innovation with operational excellence and member outcomes. They will translate complex science and emerging technologies into clear, differentiated hardware roadmaps that strengthen our ecosystem. The role requires leading a high-performing team of Product Managers with strong judgment and ownership. Ultimately, this position will shape how hardware integrates with and enhances our sensing, software, data, algorithms, and coaching experiences.

What you'll do
Define and champion a compelling, long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the future of WHOOP hardware across the entire portfolio.
Lead and develop a high-performing Hardware Product Management team, setting clear ownership, strong judgment, and ambitious standards for performance and execution.
Shape how WHOOP hardware unlocks and amplifies the broader sensing, software, data, algorithm, and coaching experiences to create cohesive member value.
Identify and advocate for foundational product and architecture investments that expand what WHOOP can deliver for members over multiple product cycles.
Translate deep member needs, business priorities, and emerging technologies into differentiated hardware products and clear investment decisions.
Own product definition and outcomes from early discovery and concept generation through launch, lifecycle management, and post-launch optimization.
Partner closely across Engineering, Design, and Operations to turn bold ideas into exceptional, manufacturable products that strengthen how WHOOP builds hardware.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to balance immediate member value with long-term platform strategy, sensing capabilities, and technology bets.
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on member value, technical opportunity, business impact, and execution risk for hardware initiatives.
Drive product and architecture decisions that support scalability, quality, cost efficiency, and performance across the hardware portfolio.
Establish clear metrics and outcomes to measure product success, informing future iterations and strategic pivots for the hardware business.
Champion a culture of rigorous product thinking, experimentation, and continuous learning within the Hardware Product Management organization.
Ensure hardware strategies are aligned with WHOOP's overarching mission, regulatory considerations, and long-term company goals.
Act as the central point of integration for hardware-related decisions, ensuring consistency and coherence across product lines and member experiences.
Requirements
6+ years of product management experience, including leadership experience in consumer hardware, connected devices, or wearable technology.
Proven track record of defining, launching, and managing complex hardware products from early concept through production and lifecycle management.
Demonstrated success building, leading, and developing high-performing Product Management teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Strong technical fluency across hardware architecture, sensors, embedded systems, mechanical and electrical engineering, and manufacturing processes.
Exceptional product judgment with the ability to balance immediate member value against long-term platform, sensing, and technology investments.
Ability to shape portfolio strategy and make thoughtful tradeoffs across member experience, performance, quality, cost, schedule, and business impact.
Compelling communicator who can inspire teams, create clarity in complex environments, and influence senior leaders with data and vision.
This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
