What you'll do

Assess machine-transliterated Korean lyrics for semantic accuracy, fluency, and naturalness in the target language.

Apply predefined evaluation criteria to assign quality ratings that reflect linguistic and cultural appropriateness.

Detect and document errors such as inaccurate sound mapping, incorrect character conversion, and mistranslated words.

Preserve the integrity of original meaning, emotional impact, and stylistic devices present in the source lyrics.

Differentiate between acceptable phonetic adaptation and distortion that alters the listener's understanding.

Collaborate with internal guidelines to ensure consistency and objectivity across large batches of lyrical content.

Identify patterns of recurring transliteration mistakes to inform improvements in automated mapping systems.

Use online evaluation tools and dashboards to record findings, annotate issues, and submit structured feedback.

Maintain high levels of concentration and accuracy when reviewing extensive volumes of data over extended periods.

Contribute insights on how genre and lyrical style affect transliteration success, supporting better model training data.

Verify that cultural references, names, and slang are rendered in a way that remains recognizable and respectful.

Requirements

You possess native-level or near-native proficiency in Korean and at least one other language for transliteration assessment.

You must have great Korean linguistics skills, including a deep understanding of expressions, idioms, and cultural context.

You demonstrate excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot subtle deviations in character mapping and meaning.

You can maintain consistent and objective judgment while reviewing a high volume of content over long sessions.

You are able to start work as soon as possible and commit to an average of four hours per day on a flexible freelance schedule.

You have a strong interest in music and the ability to recognize different genres and lyrical styles, which is beneficial but not mandatory.

You are familiar with or can quickly learn online evaluation tools and platforms used for data quality assessment.

You are comfortable working remotely and following structured guidelines without direct supervision.

You are legally able to work as a freelance contributor in South Korea under the terms of this engagement.
