About the role

What you'll do
Review and assess machine-translated lyrics for meaning, fluency, and naturalness within the context of Korean to Japanese language pairs.
Provide quality ratings based on predefined evaluation criteria that reflect linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness.

Requirements
You must possess native-level or near-native proficiency in both Korean (South Korea) and Japanese (Japan) to accurately evaluate translation quality.
You must have a strong understanding of linguistic nuances, idiomatic expressions, and cultural context in both source and target languages.
You must be able to focus on detail and maintain concentration over large volumes of content for extended periods.
You must be capable of assessing meaning, fluency, and naturalness without altering the original text beyond evaluation.
You must be able to follow predefined evaluation criteria and apply them consistently across all assigned tasks.
You must be located in an accepted country and able to comply with identity verification and fraud prevention requirements.
You must be able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of accuracy and reliability.
You must be comfortable using online evaluation tools or platforms as required for task completion and data submission.

Practical notes
This is a freelance engagement with an approximate hourly rate of $15/hour.
The project schedule is flexible, with an average commitment of 4 hours per day.
The role is fully remote, but contributors must be located in one of the accepted countries, including Japan.
Learning Program Reimbursement is available for candidates who get onboarded and complete 10 hours in the first week, receiving a reimbursement of 1 hour of their evaluated hourly rate.
