This position manages translation and copy-editing workflows to ensure high-quality linguistic deliverables for specific client accounts. The role coordinates with vendors and internal teams to resolve terminology issues and eliminate production bottlenecks. The incumbent tests new partners to confirm capability and mentors peers to uphold quality standards. The position drives process enhancements that enable global teams to operate with greater efficiency.

Designing intake steps to define project scope and resource requirements.
Building initial drafts and refining content to ensure cultural accuracy and relevance.
Reviewing deliverables to verify adherence to quality standards and client specifications.
Shipping finalized materials while strictly adhering to project deadlines.
Partnering with clients to align on tone, terminology, and overall expectations.
Testing new vendors to confirm their capability and reliability within established workflows.
Maintaining glossaries and style guides to guarantee consistent language usage.
Training internal staff and external partners on tools and procedural processes.

Improving platform performance by identifying friction points in current sequences.
Requirements
Holding a university degree in Translation, Applied Languages, or equivalent professional experience.
Demonstrating native fluency in Chinese and strong written skills in English.
Bringing a minimum of four years of experience in translation or localization roles.
Showing at least two years of review experience within collaborative environments.
Understanding localization workflows and standard industry practices in depth.
Using Windows, Office applications, and common Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools such as XTM and SDL Studio.
Learning new localization tools quickly to adapt to evolving project demands.
Communicating clearly by providing structured, constructive feedback to peers.
Mastering terminology across multiple subject matters to support accurate output.
Thriving under tight deadlines while balancing the needs of multiple clients simultaneously.
Giving clear, concise feedback that effectively guides revision processes.
Presenting information confidently to groups of clients and internal managers.
Solving practical problems when instructions are presented in diagrams or schedules.

Additional Details
Education and Experience
A university degree in Translation, Applied Languages, or Linguistic Studies is required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are accepted, such as a degree in other fields accompanied by two years of full-time translation experience, or five years of full-time professional translation experience.
Language Proficiency
Native-level fluency in Chinese is mandatory. Fluency in English, both written and spoken across various registers, is required.
Technical Skills
Good user experience of standard software, including Windows and Microsoft Office applications, is essential. Proficiency with standard CAT tools, such as XTM and SDL Studio, as well as issue tracking and query management tools like JIRA, is required.
Core Competencies
The role requires the ability to learn new localization tools and applications rapidly. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are mandatory. Strong knowledge of terminology in two or more subject matters is necessary. The ability to work with tight deadlines while maintaining quality is critical. The capacity to give clear and concise feedback is essential. Effective presentation skills are required when addressing groups of managers and clients. The candidate must solve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. This includes interpreting instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
