What you'll do

• Lead the financial planning and analysis function, ensuring accurate forecasting and budgeting processes that align with the bank's strategic goals.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support decision-making and evaluate business performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and data necessary for effective financial reporting and analysis.
• Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and variances.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that can impact the bank's financial health.
• Drive the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets and resource allocations.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecasts, providing actionable recommendations to improve profitability.
• Support strategic initiatives by providing financial insights and analysis for new product launches, market expansions, and other growth opportunities.
• Mentor and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the FP&A function.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to financial reporting and analysis.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and analyses as required by senior management, contributing to the overall strategic direction of the bank.
• Present financial findings and strategic recommendations to the executive team, facilitating informed decision-making at the highest levels.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; a master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred.
• At least 5-7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the banking or fintech sector.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Proven experience in preparing financial reports and presentations for senior management.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, as well as advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the banking industry.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
