What you'll do
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with Waystone's overall corporate goals and objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across various segments, including asset management, investment funds, and regulatory services.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers, to enhance Waystone's market position.
- Lead negotiations for high-value contracts and partnerships, ensuring favorable terms that drive profitability and growth.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to create effective campaigns that promote Waystone's services and enhance brand visibility.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in our service offerings.
- Mentor and lead a team of business development professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present regular reports to the executive team on business development activities, pipeline status, and market insights.

Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development or a related field, with a strong focus on the financial services or investment management sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and executing business strategies that result in significant revenue growth.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Experience in leading and managing teams, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate others.
- A deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance issues relevant to the financial services industry.
- A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
