What you'll do
- Investigate data streams related to fraud, money laundering, and user behavior to uncover hidden vulnerabilities in existing detection frameworks.
- Scrutinize user activity patterns to isolate legitimate transactions from those exhibiting characteristics of potential illicit behavior.
- Engineer, deploy, and iterate upon layered detection strategies targeting fraud, anti-money laundering, and sanctions compliance objectives.
- Monitor emerging criminal methodologies and propose data-backed countermeasures to neutralize new threats before they escalate.
- Enhance fraud detection precision while ensuring legitimate user journeys proceed with minimal friction and interruption.
- Design and execute controlled tests and multivariate analyses to quantify the impact of strategic changes on fraud volume and alert correctness.
- Audit active alerts, deconstruct false positives and false negatives, and refine system logic to boost overall detection accuracy.
- Liaise closely with Product, Engineering, and Data Science squads to evolve risk models, alerting architectures, and automated mitigation workflows.
- Leverage AI and LLM tools to accelerate investigation cycles and streamline complex analytical workloads.
- Synthesize findings into clear, visual reports that map risk trends, evaluate rule efficacy, and contextualize the evolving threat landscape.
- Establish feedback loops with operational teams to ensure that analytical outputs translate into tangible security improvements.
- Prioritize analytical initiatives based on potential impact on financial risk reduction and regulatory alignment.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the product surface area to ensure analytical work remains contextually relevant.
- Document methodologies and assumptions to ensure transparency and reproducibility in analytical processes.
Requirements
- Bring a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a product analyst capacity, with a focus on high-stakes environments.
- Demonstrate expert proficiency in SQL, including the capacity to compose and optimize complex queries that perform at scale.
- Show strong command of data visualization tools to convey insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Prove experience using AI tools as integral components of your analytical workflow, moving beyond experimental use to production application.
- Exhibit the ability to translate intricate data insights into coherent business explanations that resonate with diverse stakeholders.
- Maintain upper-intermediate English language skills to navigate documentation, communication, and analysis requirements.
- Adhere to strict ethical standards and data privacy protocols in all investigative and analytical work.
- Thrive in a fast-paced setting where priorities shift and analytical ownership is essential.

- Grasp of applied probability theory and mathematical statistics, including the design of A/B tests and causal inference models.
