What you'll do
- Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure the company can meet its financial obligations while optimizing the use of resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop financial models that support business initiatives and assess the financial impact of potential projects.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement to enhance profitability.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and mitigate risks.
- Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and facilitate the audit process.
- Prepare and present financial information to senior management and stakeholders, translating complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to inform strategic planning and identify opportunities for growth.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations based on thorough financial analysis.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in financial regulations that may impact the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management or a similar role, preferably within the music or entertainment industry.
- Proven track record of managing financial operations and leading a finance team effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, including advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements relevant to the industry.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information.
