As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will be responsible for leading sales efforts within your designated region, focusing on both public sector agencies and private mobility operators. Your primary goal will be to manage a revenue target and oversee the entire sales process, from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and closing. You will collaborate closely with city officials, transit agencies, and private transportation providers to develop and promote innovative mobility solutions that are implemented in real-world scenarios. This role is designed for a remote-first work environment, with a preference for candidates based in Chicago or the surrounding Midwest region. However, we are also open to applicants from Texas and other locations within the Central US. What you'll do
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential clients and partners in your designated territory, including government officials, transit agencies, and private sector stakeholders. You will act as a trusted advisor, understanding their needs and demonstrating how Via's solutions can address their specific challenges.
- Lead regional sales initiatives by identifying new business opportunities, creating strategic account plans, and executing targeted outreach campaigns to expand Via's presence in your market.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to understand regional transit needs, funding opportunities, and competitive landscape. Use this information to craft compelling, data-driven business cases that highlight the value of Via's platform and services.
- Educate prospective clients about regional transit planning, funding mechanisms, and how Via's technology can help improve operational efficiency and rider experience. Provide guidance on funding opportunities and assist clients in navigating complex procurement processes.
- Represent Via at local industry events, conferences, and community engagement activities to increase brand awareness and establish thought leadership in the mobility sector.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial outreach and qualification through proposal development, negotiations, and closing deals. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and client interactions within CRM systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including product, marketing, and implementation, to ensure client needs are met and solutions are tailored effectively. Provide feedback from the field to help refine product offerings and sales strategies.
- Support onboarding and implementation processes for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition from sale to deployment.
- Track regional market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Work closely with the broader sales team to share best practices, coordinate efforts, and achieve regional and company-wide sales targets.
- Provide regular updates to management on sales pipeline, progress toward targets, and market insights.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in client-facing roles, such as sales, business development, consulting, or related fields, with a proven track record of success.
- Demonstrated experience in consultative sales, with the ability to understand complex client needs and craft tailored solutions.
- Strong research skills and the ability to analyze market data, funding opportunities, and regional transit challenges.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences including government officials, transit operators, and private sector clients.
- Knowledge of transit or mobility sectors is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong commercial acumen, with good judgment about when to push for a deal or hold back.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and partners.
- Willingness to travel within the Central US region as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

- The salary range is $85,000-$110,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Total compensation includes variable pay and equity components.
