About the role
You will oversee the upstream prevention of quality risks on the Unite d Assemblage de Produits within the framework of the industrial launch of Verkor's first production lines. You will coordinate the qualification and validation of all processes and means before the transfer to the industrial site, ensuring robust traceability and rigorous application of the relevant standards. You will act as a central interface between the project teams, manufacturing, and the quality function to guarantee alignment on objectives and deliverables. You will analyze incidents and non-conformities to define and implement corrective actions that eliminate recurring deviations on the UAP. You will lead the preparation and monitoring of quality indicators to provide clear and decisive reporting to management. You will ensure that all activities respect the environmental, safety, and regulatory constraints linked to the battery production context. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality management system by proposing pragmatic and measurable optimizations. You will support the training and guidance of teams to instill a culture of excellence and rigorous reflexes across the site.

What you'll do
Orchestrate the qualification and validation strategy for the Unite d Assemblage de Produits in full compliance with project timelines and quality targets.
Define and implement a global risk prevention plan, identifying failure modes and establishing robust controls before any industrial ramp-up.
Lead the development and maintenance of process documentation, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and strict adherence to internal procedures.
Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues, driving timely corrective actions and verification of their effectiveness.
Establish and monitor a comprehensive set of quality indicators, translating complex data into actionable insights for operational management.
Perform detailed analysis of non-conformities, root causes, and customer claims to prevent recurrence and strengthen process reliability.
Ensure the integrity and traceability of all quality records, supporting audits and regulatory compliance with consistent documentation.
Manage the calibration and control of measurement equipment, verifying that all testing tools meet required standards and accuracy.
Drive the implementation of statistical process control tools to detect variations early and sustain consistent product quality.
Act as the primary quality partner for the UAP, facilitating communication and alignment between project, production, and support functions.
Support the continuous improvement approach by identifying optimization levers and validating their impact on quality and efficiency.
Champion the deployment of best practices across teams, fostering a culture of vigilance, rigor, and shared responsibility for quality.
Prepare and monitor detailed quality deliverables, including reports, dashboards, and validation summaries, for management reviews.
Ensure close collaboration with the site environment, safety, and regulatory teams to uphold Verkor's standards and commitments.
Requirements
You hold a Master's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related discipline, with a strong focus on industrial processes or manufacturing.
You possess proven professional experience in quality management within a production or manufacturing environment, ideally in the automotive or industrial equipment sector.
You demonstrate a thorough understanding of quality tools and methods, including but not limited to APQP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
You have hands-on experience with statistical process control techniques and the interpretation of control charts and performance indicators.
You are proficient in advanced analytical methods for problem-solving, such as 8D, 5 Whys, and structured root cause analysis.
You show a strong command of quality management systems, particularly ISO 9001, and can apply their principles in complex operational contexts.
You have a solid background in handling customer requirements, specifications, and complaints, ensuring full traceability and response effectiveness.
You are experienced in leading cross-functional projects and coordinating with multi-functional teams to achieve shared quality objectives.
Nice to have
Previous experience in the battery or energy storage sector is highly valued and provides a distinct advantage.
Familiarity with specific industry standards relevant to battery manufacturing is considered a strong asset.
Experience with ISO/TS 16949 or similar quality frameworks in the automotive supply chain is appreciated.
Practical notes
The position is based in Bourbourg, Hauts-de-France, near the Verkor Gigafactory site.
This is a permanent, full-time position subject to standard working hours as defined by collective agreement.
Travel is generally not required for this role, as responsibilities are anchored to the local site.
Candidates must meet all safety and regulatory requirements inherent to the battery production environment.
Access to the site may be subject to specific security and safety protocols.
