What you'll do
- Take charge of lifecycle marketing campaigns from inception to completion across various channels, including email, in-app notifications, and paid advertising, to boost user activation, adoption, and retention rates.
- Develop and implement segmentation and personalization strategies that ensure developers and enterprise decision-makers receive timely and relevant content.
- Create and manage customer journey maps, identifying areas of friction and redesigning interactions to enhance conversion rates and customer loyalty.
- Establish automated workflows based on user behavior triggers, conduct A/B testing, and refine strategies based on performance analytics.
- Analyze campaign outcomes, extract insights, and recommend actionable improvements to enhance future marketing efforts.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and the broader go-to-market teams to ensure that lifecycle marketing initiatives align with overall company goals.
- Partner with design and product marketing teams to develop compelling messaging that resonates with both technical and business-oriented audiences.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform marketing strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Utilize customer feedback to continuously improve marketing tactics and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Manage budgets for marketing campaigns and ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
- Foster a culture of experimentation and innovation within the marketing team, encouraging new ideas and approaches.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, or growth marketing, ideally within the SaaS, developer tools, or B2B technology sectors.
- Proficient in using marketing automation tools such as HubSpot, Iterable, Braze, or Marketo to streamline marketing efforts.
- Experience with analytics platforms like Amplitude, Segment, Looker, or Mixpanel to track and interpret marketing performance.
- Proven track record of designing and scaling multi-channel lifecycle marketing programs that have successfully increased product adoption and retention rates.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data insights into actionable marketing strategies.
- Experience collaborating effectively across various teams, including Product, Engineering, Design, and Go-To-Market (GTM) teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and executive audiences.
- A proactive mindset towards experimentation and the ability to build scalable marketing programs from the ground up.

Practical notes
- The salary range for this position in San Francisco is between $176,000 and $220,000, with potential adjustments based on location for candidates outside of San Francisco.
