Key facts

What you'll do

• In the initial month, you will immerse yourself with the CEO and the leadership team, gaining an in-depth understanding of the product to effectively engage with both customers and engineers. You will also map out the current operations of the company, including goals, metrics, and pending decisions, while beginning to manage the operational cadence of leadership meetings.
• By the end of the second month, you will take ownership of one or two major cross-functional challenges that lack clear ownership, driving them toward measurable outcomes. You will refine the planning and reporting processes to ensure that company metrics and OKRs are clear and progress is visible.
• After 90 days, you will serve as a trusted representative of the CEO, responsible for making and communicating decisions, and overseeing essential company processes such as planning, board meeting preparations, all-hands meetings, and critical hiring initiatives. You will proactively identify and address future high-impact issues, either directly or by building out necessary teams.
• Collaborate with various departments to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
• Develop and implement frameworks for tracking progress on key initiatives, ensuring transparency and accountability across the organization.
• Foster a culture of open communication and collaboration, encouraging team members to share insights and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular assessments of operational processes, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices to optimize performance.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the CEO and leadership team based on data analysis and market trends, supporting informed decision-making.

Requirements

• Strong general business acumen paired with a technical understanding, enabling you to engage deeply with technical products and collaborate effectively with engineers.
• Proven experience in founding a company, being a founding employee, or showcasing significant ownership in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to quickly absorb and master new concepts and areas of expertise.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with a talent for bringing clarity to ambiguous situations and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
• Comfort with a diverse and evolving range of responsibilities, shifting focus between strategic planning, operational management, and critical hiring as required.
• High levels of trustworthiness, sound judgment, and a humble demeanor, with a willingness to tackle less glamorous tasks and share credit for achievements.

Nice to have

• Experience in consulting, banking, or similar fields that require structured problem-solving and effective communication with executives.
• Familiarity with startup environments and the unique challenges they present.
• Previous roles that involved significant project management responsibilities, demonstrating an ability to lead initiatives from conception to execution.
