Molding Lead - Night Shift

About the role

You own the night shift molding cell from material intake through final shipment. Shape daily execution, coach technicians, and remove blockers so quality output never slips. In a fast-paced, high-volume environment, you guide a team to meet production goals, ensure quality standards, and drive continuous improvement across the department. You will coordinate schedules, troubleshoot equipment, and motivate your team while following company policies and safety regulations. You serve as the primary technical authority on the floor during the night shift, interpreting procedures and enabling smooth execution. You foster a culture of safety, accountability, and respect within your team and across partner departments. You act as a bridge between production demands and operational constraints to keep workflow efficient. You uphold the company's standards in a regulated manufacturing environment through consistent application of methods and documentation.

What you'll orchestrate

Direct technicians while safeguarding quality standards during every night run. Set up machines and calibrate tools so each molding cycle starts correctly. Scan intake queues, confirm material availability, and guard against line stoppations. Interpret schedules, balance workloads, and adjust sequences to hit throughput targets. Examine molded parts, diagnose defects, and verify compliance with specifications before release. Streamline workflows when bottlenecks appear and document adjustments for repeatability. Share technical guidance with peers and translate blueprints into clear operator steps. Coordinate with other supervisors so handoffs between departments remain frictionless. Record accurate time and production data, and perform hands-on duties alongside team members when required. Monitor real-time metrics and take corrective action when trends indicate potential deviations. Support continuous improvement initiatives by collecting data and proposing actionable changes. Ensure all activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and quality management systems. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace to support safe operations and smooth execution. Serve as a point of contact for cross-functional partners during the night shift.

Requirements

You hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent mix of education and hands-on experience. You bring one to two years of molding or manufacturing leadership experience, including night shift exposure. You possess forklift certification and move materials safely across the facility. You read manuals, safety rules, and maintenance instructions without difficulty. You communicate clearly while leading teams and presenting operational updates. You use Microsoft Word and related applications to maintain accurate records. You analyze issues, resolve work blockages, and support technicians in problem solving. You are able to follow verbal and written instructions in English throughout the shift. You are able to lift, push, or pull loads up to a specified weight as required by the role. You are able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods as dictated by production demands. You are able to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate tools and equipment effectively. You are able to see and judge color, clarity, and alignment relevant to quality checks. You are able to detect odors, leaks, or irregularities that may indicate process or equipment issues. You must pass pre-employment screening and meet all eligibility criteria as defined by company policy.
