The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator role is critical to maintaining this standard of excellence within our Fort Worth, Texas manufacturing facility.

This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs. The role owner ensures strict compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable state and local regulations. You will drive proactive risk assessment, investigate incidents to identify root causes, and support continuous improvement initiatives across operations. You will coordinate training, emergency preparedness, and employee engagement to strengthen workplace safety culture. You will work closely with production, maintenance, quality, and management teams to reduce workplace risks and ensure regulatory alignment. This position manages relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies to uphold standards and achieve compliance objectives. You will track metrics, implement corrective actions, and maintain documentation to demonstrate regulatory adherence and operational excellence.

What you'll do

• Implement and sustain EHS policies, procedures, and safe work practices aligned with regulatory expectations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, environmental permits, hazardous waste, stormwater, and other applicable regulations.
• Conduct routine safety inspections of manufacturing equipment, automation systems, warehouses, and support utilities.
• Perform job hazard and risk assessments for production processes and equipment to identify potential hazards.
• Investigate injuries, near misses, property damage, and environmental incidents; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor contractor safety and ensure compliance with facility safety requirements to maintain a secure work environment.
• Coordinate new hire safety orientation and ongoing EHS training covering LOTO, machine guarding, PPE, forklift safety, hazard communication, ergonomics, and emergency response.
• Maintain emergency action plans and conduct emergency evacuation drills to ensure readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Inspect and maintain emergency response equipment to ensure functionality and readiness during incidents.
• Promote employee engagement and continuous improvement through safety initiatives and collaboration with supervisors and team members.
• Manage the Hazard Communication Program and maintain accurate Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all relevant materials.
• Coordinate industrial hygiene monitoring, including noise, heat stress, air quality, and chemical exposure assessments to protect worker health.
• Support ergonomic improvement initiatives to reduce musculoskeletal risks and enhance workplace comfort and efficiency.
• Track EHS metrics, regulatory activities, and corrective actions to drive informed decision-making and compliance reporting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of one to two years of EHS, quality, or operations experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment required.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable state and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Understanding of safety management systems, hazard identification, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Ability to interpret and apply safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough inspections, audits, and investigations.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating training, documenting incidents, and interacting with team members.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented, multicultural environment.
